Quay Apartments Clarence House

The apartment doesn’t look great from the outside as it isn’t in the best area of Newport nevertheless inside makes up. The apartment is spacious and is perfect for most party uses. The biggest issue is the ventilation it is very warm inside as you cannot open the windows at all. They have provided two fans to cool the place down however they don’t do much as they are just circulating the air inside

It was only one night for business but absolutely stay again. Clean, comfortable, parking and near some shops. Individuals on reception warm and welcoming.

Had a wonderful stay, the apartment was really clean and tidy with plenty of space. It had everything I needed to cook meals. Staff were very helpful and friendly and I would definitely stay here again. However I would stay in the colder months as there was no windows that opened and it did get quite hot and stuffy. The apartment did supply a fan/humidifier, although it just was not sufficient enough to take the warm air out of the room. Apart from the heat in the apartment it was a fantastic place to stay. The location of the apartments was great, located close to the city centre and everything I needed was close by. Easy to access to motorway’s to travel the lovely sites and views of South Wales. Also the shower had plenty of room/ no bath but this was not a problem. Modern with a good size tv with plenty to watch/ Netflix

I give this review an excellent rating due to Anna and Veronica who have been so helpful throughout my stay. Anna in particular was always Professional and willing to help and answer any queries that I had. The facilities in the serviced apartment were sufficient to allow me to cook meals etc. The only drawback was the windows which do not open and whilst a fan and a cooler were provided, at times in the recent heat it was a bit uncomfortable. To be fair a lot of places in the UK suffer in the summer as they are not designed for extremes in weather. If you are staying in Newport for an extended stay, I would recommend that you consider Quay Apartments and I would definitely stay here again myself.

Was slight concerned when I saw the outside of the building! But the inside was amazing. All facilities and decorations were fantastic. Will stay again

Got to property at 5pm and room still not available although checking is from 3pm When I got to room it was pungent with bleach smell , could not air because no widows can open Staff aired whilst I went out for an hour Very cold too Heating inadequate

The apartment looked fairly new and was well kitted out.

On arrival we had to wait then once everything was signed the receptionist noticed my address and I was told that I couldn’t stay due to living in the same area. After exchanging words I had to wait while she disappears and rang her manager. I was then told I had to pay an additional £100 upfront. I had already paid for the room at booking. I am a 34 year old who was checking in with my two young daughters while heavily pregnant. I had two visitors while staying and each time was questioned who they were ? Why they were here? The receptionist actually tried to tell me that I was not allowed to have a visitor??? The room was freezing cold on arrival and didn’t ever warm up . There was dried blood stains on a pillow in the main bedroom. its a real shame that my experience started off on such a bad note as the facilities that this place offers are actually lovely and much more comfortable and relaxing than a hotel room

The accommodation layout, space and facilities were good. Everything was clean and new. The apartment lacked good ventilation and could benefit from an external air conditioning unit to refresh the apartment. A tea towel, instructions for the oven and an information booklet would be very nice for anyone not familiar with the area and how to use the apartment utilities. The staff were very attentive and helpful.
