We had to do a staycation, due to the change in isolation coming back from Austria. Two weeks five hotels. This is the one we would never return to. Poor service. Poor attitude and a distinct lack of management. I know we are in difficult times. Ive only ever left two bad reviews in 40 countries. The stay at this hotel was very poor to say the least. Parking £14 for 24 hours, but everytime we left, they sild it to someone else. People used others spaces, because they did this to mumerous guests. The changed breakfast to putting it outside the door in a bag. Well, on day one they did. Day three i didnt meet anyone that got a breakfast. All who had rung reception several times...with different excuses. A line of checking out longer than ive ever seen.Complaints and a poor, young girl on her own, appologising to every guest....not a manager in sight. Management decision to remove breakfast by an ill informed decision maker ( blaming government restrictions) each subsequent hotel provided breakfast, taking adequate precautions. I cannot see me ever using Hilton in the future. A reputation tarnished. Yet, so many other hotel chains have been outstanding! Everythong felt like cost cutting...not safety!

The staff were very good under the covid restrictions. The property is a 15 minute walk to the grass market. A bus picks uo outside to leath. The property was very clean.

Excellent hotel with Queen size room quite generous in space. Well cleaned and comfortable bed. Hotel procedures for Covid 19 good and felt safe. Nice breakfast with buffet type continental and plenty to eat. Only downside for me is parking as when booking says first come basis then alternative parking available but no address of these alternatives? So turned up at hotel and as busy road at entrance there’s no where to park so went round back but all shut so rang reception and told to go down road and park at another underground and use that but by that time I’m in a one way system so have to go round the city centre to find this other parking. Why not just give clear instruction and direction to this when booking to save all the stress?? Worth checking this yourself if new to this hotel.
Good property. Good location. Well decorated... Safe and secure. Decent breakfast, but had limited options due to COVID I guess. Cleaned and maintained well. Parking is limited. Additional parking available at nearby car parks for £10 a day. Very nice location with only a 10 minutes walk to Princess Street and less than 5 minutes to shops and restaurants. Would definitely recommend.
The hotel was really good. Bed wasn’t that comfortable however it does the job. Breakfast was good had a decent amount of choice especially for the current conditions that are going on. Room was relatively clean only slight issue was with a stain on the pillow however when mentioned to cleaning staff it was sorted out straight away, but apart from that everything else about the hotel and the staff was brilliant would definitely recommend and visit again.
Staff very welcoming & helpful, the first morning for breakfast had limited options of fruit & cereal, the other 2 mornings had more options grandaughter was disappointed that there was no frsh waffles as i told her we could make our own for breakfast.
Hotel was clean & warm.Friendly staff.Parking was available but we were not informed we had to pay for parking until we had isdues trying to get out of carpark.
