Clean and updated
Was clean, we were greeted with a warm welcome. Room was updated with laminate flooring, with a rug. shower was all tile, drained well. Plenty of places for your stuff to be unpacked.

It was a very good experience. The hotel was clean, there was ample parking with security watching over the cars. The only issue was the night time front desk clerk did not have the best attitude. She was not forthcoming with information about breakfast, hotel features or other information. Otherwise it was a pleasant experience.

Worst Breakfast of any hotel.
Check-in was blah. Employee clearly hates her job. Room was ok, hotel was mostly empty and I was put in a room overlooking the hotel service equipment/waste area. Ive stayed in 72 hotels in the past 4 months. This one by far had the worst breakfast which was a paper sack with an orange, a blueberry muffin and a 3oz juice cup. The room was ok at best.

Awesome Hotel!
Our stay was great! Loved everything from the whole appearance of the hotel, to the room, to the friendly staff. Definitely would recommend.

Bad neighborhood! The fridge in our room had something all over the inside it looked like soda maybe. The shower wasn’t clean which isn’t okay due to covid19!

Used to love this place!!
We used to love this hotel. First place we stayed just before moving here. DJ at the front desk was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! However, we couldn't get the heat to turn on. It was 36° outside. The Doorman came up to our room and could not get it to turn on either. I eventually figured it out. The noise level was terrible. Seems like the quality of people staying there has changed. There were people talking and hanging out in the hallway very late. Lastly, coffee with no condiments is unacceptable.

The hotel is located next to a hospital in Uptown. Neighborhood did not look very decent to us but there is 24 hours security at the front door. Parking is free and the lot is across the street, monitored by the hospital security management. Every interaction at front desk is recorded. Covid precautions are enforced100%. I have stayed at multiple big chain hotels in the past several months but none of those would come close to the standard of Alder in terms of Covid measures (tissues inside the elevator to use for pushing buttons, extra cleans room, hand sanitizer available at multiple locations, etc..) Room interiors are very well designed. Fridge, microwave, coffee maker and hair dryer available. I had the balcony room which was really nice. I would definitely recommend and will stay again when I visit New Orleans.

Enjoyable Stay
In New Orleans to move our disable relative. Stayed at the Alder. It's conveniently located close to everything in a quiet, secure neighborhood. We were totally comfortable with our room, parking and walking around. Next time in NOLA we will be at the Alder.
