Star Land Hotel

The hotel is the best I have been to in Douala. It is not a 5 stars hotel but it has all we need and it is clean and comfortable. That being said, the internet was VERY bad and when I'm saying bad, I mean AWFUL. You clicked on a link and waited 20 seconds for the page to charge, sometimes more. Also, when I got to the counter for check out, there were two clients before me and I had to wait for an hour to check out, that is how fast it was. No one was mean to me. The staff was nice but you have to know these things before you book.

Clean and located in good location. Service is so local standard, not worth for rate.

Welcoming staff. The room's mini bar is full and you're required to pay the deposit in case you wish to use those (refunded if you don't). Great stay overall.

Very nice hotel, clean and in a very quiet neighborhood Friendly personnel and good breakfast.

Short stay only. Food was needing a bit more attention (seafood under cooked), staff need to be more attentive rather than sitting watching TV especially as there was only two guests in the dining room.

Decent hotel - terrace bar is a nice addition although could do with some music instead of tv playing

Good for a business trip, clean hotel.

Mon séjour s'est faite dans le cadre d'une rencontre avec les hommes et femmes d'affaires de Douala. J'ai apprécié le cadre et la qualité de l'infrastructure, l'accueil, une bonne connexion Wifi, chose qui facilite l'interconnexion et profiter de la piscine après une journée de travail.

The hotel is nice. One of the best hotels in Douala. Nice area, nice room, nice restaurant and nice cleaning quality. But front desk attitude seems need to be improved, feeling bad when checkin and also checkout, especially a person named Cyril, bad attitude and even not willing to give me the change after I pay the minibar fee. He said there is no change and not even try to fix it, seems like to force me to take the change as his tips. After all, this is a nice hotel.
