Cocked Hat Hotel by Greene Kings Inns

The hotel was quite and very comfortable location for us was excellent would visit again

Very clean and newly refurbished. Staff were helpful. Only down side was that our room was next to the dual carriageway and you could hear the traffic which did keep us awake

We arrived and checked in at the pub and were give the keys to our room. When we got to the room, one of the twin beds had not been made, rather than the very helpful member of staff getting some sheets and making the bed, she gave us the key to another room which had a double bed and two singles in it. So we moved to the bigger family room. Unfortunately, the double bed wasn't a double bed and was not big enough for the two of us and I ended up sleeping in one of the single beds. The second TV in the room with the two single beds wasn't tuned in to any channels, so I couldn't watch that. The hotel has been recently renovated and most of it is good. However, the limiter that prevents the window from being opened fully and someone climbing in had been cut through so didn't work. Pity.

We stayed here as the base hotel my daughter was competing in was full. I’m delighted we did! Speedy check in. The family room we were given was an absolute gem. It was spacious, emasculate and most of all extremely comfortable. Will definitely be back- thank you.

So impressed with this find.......newly refurbished rooms, really clean and comfortable. I was given a room on the first floor and felt really safe. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed my stay here and will certainly book again. Only suggestion - to add some reception signs within the corridors to direct the correct way to entrance.

Newly refurbished rooms are great, had an issue with shower, tried to resolve e, unable so they moved me to another room- great service

Great budget unit

Though the physical building looks quite beautiful and has some great period features it is on an extremely busy intersection and does not allow you to walk anywhere locally without the need to cross some extremely busy roads. Not good for our young family. Upon arrival there was not a We were not told when booking that the hotel is beginning to be refurbished as such there are no dining facilities at the hotel and

The property was a nice building, the rooms and bathrooms need modernising, and they are at the moment being renovated which is good. Because I’m sure it will make the property more appealing. The bar and restaurant areas were fine.
