Well staffed with helpful and outgoing people who are willing to help problem solve with their visitors. The breakfast buffet is small but with adequate variety, instant coffee. I booked their 3 day/2 night tour upon arrival (not sure if in tourist season this is possible) and had a wonderful time seeing the South. My driver/ guide was pleasant. And the sites I was easily able to see had variety which provided a snap shot into many aspects of life. Enjoyed my stay very much
I would call the hostel quaint, if you are wanting the authentic experience then this may be for you. As it is winter it was cold outside, however the central heating in the room was on full blast (lucky us). There were stairs on the wall which led to an upstairs area/room, but it was empty, gathering dust. The main aspect of the stay that stuck out to me was the communal bathroom... I must have missed it when I booked it and got quite of a shock when I found out.
Great location. Excellent facilities. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Easy to get to everywhere from the property.
Historical place , Pleasant staff , clean , good breakfast , Transportation to get their or out of their is pain in the neck , shared second floor wash rooms and showers are very tight small , exposed big sewage pipes , below expectation sanitation supplies and face washing sink is contunely bulged , no air condition very very hot however the staff was kind and brought us 2 fans
The host was super friendly! Lots of smiles and was helpful. My room was the furthest from the desk and didn't have wifi signal, also the wifi was in and out in the common areas. Had to wait outside for awhile at check-in but I did arrive at mid-night. It's a little hard to find but it's in an excellent location. The rooms surround the common area so be prepared to wake up at 7 with the rest of the guest eating breakfast.
Fantastic location, but more like a hostel than a hotel. Bathrooms are shared.
Beautiful hostel, nice rooms and very friendly staff. Highly recommend
Beautiful and clean place, warm and helpful staff. I had a bit of trouble getting there; take a taxi to Kasbah square (Kasbah monument and mosque) and ask for directions—it’s a very easy walk from there.
I would love to recommend this place for visitors. First of all their staffs are fantastically supportive to guests. The location is in the midst of Medina which means you can reach easily to go shopping.
Hotel staff are helpful and considerate, but the hotel is in the Medina region of Tunis and that neighborhood is old, dilapidated and inconvenient for any kind of restaurant other than local Tunisian basic food. The neighborhood is full of pick pockets and con artists trying to take advantage of naive tourists, so I advise only a seasoned traveler interested in the unique Medina experience to consider staying in this neighborhood. Common bathroom is clean, breakfast is very basic with instant coffee, hard boiled eggs and Tunisian pastries. Also wifi service was terrible and inconsistent.
