Oudekraal Lodge

Stayed at Oudekral Lodge during October 2018 with our two kids. Fantastic location being at the top of Camps Bay with incredible views over the ocean in front and the 12 Apostles and Table Mountain to the side and rear. Truly breathtaking. The property is arranged over 2 floors with the open plan lounge, kitchen / balcony on the top floor and the bedrooms on the bottom floor. There are 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms which are all stunning and kept clean by the maid who comes every day for a couple of hours (she also does all the washing up and cleans out the kitchen / dining room after breakfast each day). The check in and service from the property managers was excellent. No complaints at all. The only issue we had was there was no Air Conditioning at the property. During our stay, the temperature reached 35 degrees during the day and 25 at night ... with only a conventional fan to circulate the air, the property was unbearably hot at times. However, we were told that Camps Bay doesnt usually get so hot, but worth checking weather forecast if you are planning a stay. Would we stay here again - yes! Oudekral Lodge is a luxury villa in one of the most exclusive parts of Cape Town and, indeed, South Africa. It is well managed and well kept. If the owner would install A/C, it would be perfect!
