Barnett Hill - Luxury Hotel

Such a lovely place. It was such a tranquil and peaceful location with lovely gardens. Also what makes the place even more special is the staff. We had the pleasure to be checked in by Andrei. He is such nice guy that could not do anything more for us. Exceptional customer service from Andrei. Thank you.

Lovely old property and grounds, rooms are pleasing with beautiful freestanding bath. Food very nice. We had treatments too which were good. Little TLC needed in some places, but all in all a nice night away.

The location is serene. The hotel rooms are luxurious and well supplied with necessary accessories that one would expect from a hotel of this star rating. However, breakfast was a DISASTER. Breakfast is an important meal for me. I was shocked by the standard and the quality of the food. Besides, the variety was limited for a hotel of this class. Their standard price of breakfast is £15, and in my opinion and experience with hotels, as I travel a lot around the country on business, one would expect an excellent breakfast at that amount. For example, the Clayton chain of hotels which are in the same star rating as this hotel charge slightly less than £15 for their breakfast, but their food and the variety that they provide is light years ahead of this hotel. I would have given this hotel a five-star rating, but because of the disappointing breakfast, I will give it a three. Barnett Hill Hotel really needs to do something about the standard of their breakfast.

Beautiful hotel. We were relieved to not actually be in the main building in the end as there was a wedding on both nights. Didn't seem to be anywhere to really relax other than our room. Food was a big disappointment at breakfast and we have eaten better in a premier inn. We didn't try dinner as it seemed very expensive and we had found a lovely local pub with excellent food. The room was nice but a little tired. Coffee maker great but we had to remind them to give us another dressing gown as the room only had one in it.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. However, we asked for a quiet room on a higher floor but we were allocated overlooking the car park. There was a conference while we were there and these people took over the bar in the evening and were drunk and very loud. Some of these guests were outside in the car park smoking and making a noise after 1am. Then slammed doors when finally going to their rooms. Same slamming doors from 6am. It's a shame as this spoilt our stay as we had disturbed sleep.
