Hotel Figueroa

Beautiful hotel, very cute room, and good service. However, the bed and pillows were very uncomfortable. All too soft. The queen bed seemed more like a full and as we were going down to check out, someone had thrown up in the elevator some time the night before.

Rooms are really really small but what can you expect in Los Angeles. It was decorated really nicely otherwise. There was a bit of renovation going on in the hotel hallways which was a bit of an eye sore but nothing major. Pool is open but all the restaurants and bars are closed at the moment due to covid. A bit of a bummer because their hotel bar is usually fantastic! Check in was easy and the staff is very friendly. Parking with the hotel costs an ungodly $48 overnight and they tell you you have to use valet. In the exact same parking lot you can self park for $20 overnight but no ins and outs. Right now with covid it’s a lot easier to find street parking. Just make sure you read the signs!!

Parking guy and front desk guy made it seem like I was inconveniencing them with my simple questions it bothered me a lot.

Great experience

The staff was very friendly and accommodating! The actual premise was so cool and had tons of art and different sections to explore. Parking was so expensive and I assumed the credit Hotels.com afforded me was going to take care of the full amount but I still had to pay $10 for the service. Parking will forever be a dread, especially in a place like LA. In all, it was a great experience and I would definitely stay here again.

It was okay. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms were decorated beautifully. I did enjoy sitting on the open terrace by the pool, they provided wine glasses to allow us to drink a bottle of wine we bought at Ralph’s around the corner. There was no mini fridge in the room as listed or “work space.” We had some problems with the hot water one morning when I wanted to take an early shower around 6:30. They had 3 different staff come up and try to fix it but it wasnt resolved until past 8am, I was disappointed by that. Also, the resort fees are way too high to be not receiving any sort of amenities — no breakfast (they could come up with some pre-packaged options), no fresh towels, no housekeeping, no gym access, no restaurants open. I wish they would waive the resort fee? Guests would feel better about the lack of offerings. I get that COVID makes things complicated but there are creative ways to compensate and we have been in the pandemic for almost a year, it’s time to find other solutions than just “not available due to COVID.” Parking is so expensive if you go through the hotel, $48/night. The nearby garages are around $20-25 a night, you’re much better off finding one of those and walking 4 min to the hotel. The staff were hard working and friendly, and I’m sure a lot of what the hotel is lacking has to do with upper management, which is unfortunate because the staff probably receive the brunt of guests’ dissatisfaction.

No complaints... nice little boutique hotel. Friendly environment, safe. Kinda gives off south beach vibes. In the heart of downtown LA. Fast services and very helpful.

The staff at the desk was nice. The room was nice.. but there was a loud party all night long and even though I complained twice the party went on all night.. we were unable to sleep. There was also no food on site or drinks.

even though most of the hotel was shut down (restaurant, bars.)due to covid the staff were very friendly and helpful. the hotel is very clean and the location feel safe to move around in. restaurants are close as is Starbucks.
