Quimby House Inn & Spa

Front desk was helping and nice. Rooms are basic and dated. Bathroom fan exist, but in a 35-50 degree weather stay, the condensation on the windows was constant. Shower head should also be replaced. You get what you pay for; this was a clean, no frills room for a reasonable price in a town non known for reasonable prices.

The rooms were clean and bed pretty much comfortable. Firmness lovers may have a degree of criticism. It appeared that all covid prevention guidelines were being followed. My only complaint is a note at the front desk where the owners complained about not being able to offer room service per state regulations. The attitude made me a little uncomfortable about their commitment to providing a safe environment for their guests, especially since I had researched a little bit to be sure that they were following guidelines. I had no other experience to suggest that they weren't following the guidelines, and the stay was as pleasant as could be expected being that the hotel is right on a fairly heavily traveled street in Bar Harbor. If you want to sleep with the window open in a room above the street, you're listening to early (5:00 AM) delivery trucks on their route. That's the breaks with a village establishment! The stay was just fine, certainly worth the price.

Great location near downtown. Room was comfy, bed was comfy. If I had to pick an area for improvement, it would be the shower head. The pressure was fine, but the spray pattern was lots of tiny little droplets which weren't super effective.

The room and the property were quaint and comfortable and the service staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a great time in bar harbor and were very happy with our choice to stay at Quimby.

Cute quaint place. In walking distance to a lot of shops. Has parking lot. Close drive to Acadia. All furniture is dated but it goes with the theme. Shower head is one of those very inexpensive ones that look like it's just the pipe but it isn't. Great water pressure. Shampoo/conditioner mix so bring your own toiletries. Front desk was very nice. I'd def stay here if I return.

Our cottage suite was quaint and clean, perfect size for us being two people and traveling with our dog for a 2 night stay. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. It was nice to have access to tea and coffee in the lobby and convenient parking right outside our door. Location was convenient to down town restaurants/ shops and very close to Acadia. It’s nothing fancy but a good value for the price, we would stay here again.

Amazing, great access to downtown. Getting in and out of house is very easy and very quiet.

It's right in Bar Harbor with easy access to Acadia. It was clean and seemed to follow COVID precautions. There isn't an elevator, so it would be problematic for people not able to climb multiple flights of stairs with their suitcases. The desk hours were very limited (8am-7pm) which unfortunately meant having to end our day in Acadia a little early so we could check in by 7pm. The hotel might have helped us make arrangements for a later check in if we had called and asked, but we didn't have cell reception in the park to be able to call them.

No complaints! Perfect location as walking distance to everything. We enjoyed the quiet nights.

Only one person worked at the hotel and it was hard to ask questions or needed thinks in the room. We left the hotel and no one was there to leave the key. We had to leave on the desk. Never seen anything like this before.
