When we arrived to check in we were told there was an issue with our double room, so had been moved to a twin room and offered a partial refund. Our room was clean and well stocked with towels, beds were also very comfy. Despite the road noise we both slept quite well. One highlight of the stay had to be the breakfast, very tasty indeed! Thanks again to the staff :)

The pub was nice and the food was lovely. The breakfast was just thing that was needed to set me up for the day. The staff were all helpful and friendly when we interacted. Please remember that this IS on the main A120. You WILL get road noise throughout the night. I was rather amazed how many trucks went past at irregular intervals all night. I'm sure on a longer stay you'd get used to it, but a couple of nights wasn't really enough. I don't know if it was worse because I was outside of the pub itself, but bear this in mind.

The Biggest Friendliest Welcome
Stayed here for one night as I was going to a wedding around the corner. I received the warmest welcome with the friendliest of staff who were all family. The room was comfortable and for an old building still had everything I needed. The breakfast was delicious and generous.

This is a lovely pub run by a lovely couple however the smell of fried food perforated through to our bedroom. A shame really, if they could just sort out that awful fried cafe smell this would be a really good place to stay for weddings

Excellent old fashioned small country pub.
Enjoyable one night stay. The only downside is the very busy A120 on which the pub is located. I am a light sleeper and had difficulty getting off due to constant traffic noise all through the night. However I was aware of this from reading other reviews so I am not making a big issue of it. Staff were very pleasant. Breakfast excellent.

Lovely stay in a beautiful village
Very accommodating family, very personable service from check in to check out. The lady cooked a lovely breakfast and I was made to feel at home. Rooms were clean and tidy, came with necessary toiletries, water and snacks. Only criticism would be that the room smelt a bit strong of some kind of air refresher, it didn't smell bad to be clear, but it was a quite artificial smell.

Cheap and cheerful - Would recommend
Rather pleasant pub with great food and lovely staff. The shower wasn’t very good, and you wouldn’t describe the room as luxurious, but it was a nice experience.
