Posh South Beach Hostel, a South Beach Group Hotel

Excellent hostel. One of the best in Miami

Definitely read the instructions on where to check in. I freaked out because I couldn’t find the entrance and I saw others go through the same thing. Whitelaw hotel right next door handles check in for Posh. Once you check in the staff is very friendly. The modern design is a cool open concept (hangout area upstairs and sleeping area downstairs. No doors. The kitchen has a microwave. Things I loved: - Infinity Pool - Good size storage to lock up your stuff - self service coin operated laundry - Open concept sleep area - Activities board Things I didn’t love: - the fridge and kitchen cabinets were so packed with food from guests I didn’t bother to even make tea. - the bathroom area (sinks and stalls) were dirty. Guests left hair and makeup on the sinks. - there are signs recommending you trade in your wet towel for a clean one but I couldn’t find a staff member to get a new towel from. - no clear way to change clothes (bathroom stall too small and shower stall is wet). - Open concept sleep area. Because the bunks are all in one area and there aren’t any doors I did not have to deal with listening to someone else’s hook up. This is why I think the Open concept is great. The downside was the “no noise” after 10pm isn’t enforced so the sound from the t.v. upstairs and loud conversations carry down to the sleep area. Earplugs would solve this problem. If you can afford it just stay at The Whitelaw. You’ll get the same great staff but cleaner facility.

My stay at Posh Hostel was amazing. The place was very clean, the staff was super helpful and extremely kind! This was my first time staying in an hostel so I was really nervous, especially being a female traveling alone but I felt super safe being there. The pool was beautiful and the complimentary happy hour was great. I got the chance to meet a lot of cool people from all over the world. I will definitely be staying here again whenever I visit Miami again :)

All positive things to say about the place with the EXCEPTION of my PARTICULAR bunk. Just my luck that I wind up with the bed directly under a bulkhead. Most of the beds I could have nearly stood UP on the top bunk. Mine (#48) I had to slither into and could not even SIT UP! Neat experience that I WOULD do again.
