This location was a big good surprise. This is not the Holiday Inn I knew growing up. The room was very clean and it looked like extra precautions were taken to clean for COVID. I would highly recommend this location.

Great stay overall.
The service was excellent, the staff friendly and efficient. My only complaint was the mattress in our room was worn out with a big indention in the center. The mattress was too firm on the edges and then very low in the center. The breakfast was very good and the pool and hot tub were a nice feature. During these times it was nice to see everyone following safety protocol and everything was very clean and fresh smelling.

Very nice, clean and comfortable. Amenities were awesome. Very friendly staff. Convenient to restaurants, interstate and down town Wytheville. Which was a very cute and quaint town. Highly recommend!

Excellent and Safe Stay!
We were impressed as soon as we walked in with the carefulness of the lady who greeted us and with the evident obeying the COVID restrictions. The room seemed especially clean and signage everywhere urged wearing of masks properly. Then BREAKFAST!!! It was SERVED rather than letting guests help themselves to a buffet. Coffee was the only thing we got ourselves. I felt so safe! THANKS!!!

Still serves hot food - unlike most HEI hotels
The good news: This hotel was the ONLY one of three HIE I stayed at this past week with hot food. WHY? Is it that hard to make scrambled eggs - and have someone out it on a plate- like this hotel? Now the bad news: Hotel pics online are not representative of the hotel. It's getting tired looking - time to update things - bathrooms, etc. The woman serving the food was not only LOUD ( I mean LOUD), especially at 7am - she was a bit rude too. All I asked , when I saw the egg bin empty at 7Am, was "Is that the last of the eggs? I hope they're somewhat hot". Her reply (LOUDLY): "It is was it is" What the hell does that mean at 7am? You serve eggs until 9am- and you're out of eggs now? So yes- I had room temp eggs- my wife couldn't eat hers- it was very cold. I mean cold- not luke warm.
