Hotel Barcelona Colonial

Absolutely brilliant, staff extremely helpful. Hotel quiet, clean, comfy and had everything we needed. Will definitely stay there again. Loved every second of our stay.

Hotel Colonial was a great location. In El Gótic, walking distance to El Born, and a short train/subway ride to Sagrada Família. Many bars and cool restaurants nearby. Several blocks from the beach The room was comfortable. The staff was very helpful. The breakfast was the highlight of the hotel stay. Moderately priced

This was our second stop in Barcelona on our three week vacation as we traveled about Spain and France. Our first hotel was very nice and we paid €30 less each night as compared to Hotel Barcelona Colonial. The room was tiny and dark. We could barely enter into the room as when opening up the door it scraped the edge of the double sized bed. The Breakfast food was barely edible, the bar unattended by guests, the WiFi barely worked, and when we asked for two extra blankets, as the weather had turned, they only brought us one. We witnessed a few people at the front desk complaining as well.The Gòtic style building is cool from the outside and the lobby is pretty, but from the elevator on up it’s all bad news.for this allegedly 4 star hotel.

Nice hotel in a good location in the old quarter. However it didn't quite feel 4 star and my ground floor room was a bit noisy.
