Like something from Downton Abbey
Celebrated our anniversary with a couple of nights in the Richmond suite, a big and spacious room which has great views of the gatehouse and gardens. The food is fantastic and service first class. Plenty to do if you like walking the grounds followed by a 25min walk to Masham for a few pints in the local. Overall the hotel is special and our experience was like something from Downton Abbey, my only one niggle are the prices, £29 for 2 gin & tonics is a bit excessive even by London standards. Would we go again? Probably, as my wife loved it but may need to start saving now!

Missing that caring feeling
Not as good as it should be. There are large differences between rooms and interior feel. This is a nice place but they are making lots of small mistakes and the place lacks consistency. Lacks warmth.

A great get-away.
This is a really great hotel full of old charm and the service was excellent. We had the afternoon tea as a present and really enjoyed it in relaxing surroundings.
