Comfortable stay but not a 5* experience.
A grand looking hotel, the public areas are beautiful. Away from the limelight, the rooms and corridors are a little lacklustre and need an update. The room had a huge comfy bed and great shower but there were also little niggles, for example, the handle to the balcony door fell off and we almost locked ourselves out of the room and we found a tear on one of the sheets. The check-in procedure was slapdash and originally had the wrong persons details on the form, then our credit account wasn't set up so initially we couldn't charge anything to the room. However, the concierge were extremely helpful and the staff in the bar were lovely. The breakfasts were good, with a wide choice of foods and plenty of room to sit. The pool area is nice and we found enough sunbeds and towels. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but it's not a 5*hotel, the service and housekeeping were not up to standard.

External Opulence belies guestroom experience.
Helpful, friendly staff. Well located for Pavilion Shopping Plaza and Bukit Bitang - KLCC walkway, giving easy access to Petronas Towers and surrounding area. Communal and conferencing areas well maintained, but hotel guestroom a little worn and in need of updating/refurbishment. Free breakfast a bonus, as was free Wifi and boarding pass printing..

Spectacular hotel ideally located for sightseeing, restaurants and entertainment. The hotel has a charming character with comfortable rooms and all the facilities which makes it a good choice when visiting Kuala Lumpur
