Hotel Celebrity

Tackiest place I've stayed in. They didn't show any of the 'Celebrity themed stuff in the pictures when we made the booking. The celebrity theme would have been ok if it was done with some finesse such as just a name plate on the room door. But having cheaply produced pictures/posters of the celebs on the walls in the rooms was just incredibly cheap looking and tacky. The check in was not done with a smile but with a rather stern manner. There were painting materials left lying at the bottom of the stairs making the place look unsightly. The rear car park seemed to also be a dumping ground for stuff the hotel was chucking out. It's in a great location and was cheap. But despite that wasn't good value for money. I now wish I'd paid more and payed somewhere nearby but nicer.

As we had to bring our little did I was not expecting anything special from the hotel but we were disappointed with the condition of the hotel, the rooms we had were very worn and tiered as was most areas of the hotel. The staff were helpful although often difficult to understand as most were non UK, with regards to social distancing this was done quite well although again not always clear in interpretation, we shall not be staying at this hotel again unless significant changes are made to the rooms as the images shown in hotels.com web site were probably 20 years old.

I am happy regarding my stay in the hotel along with my friends. They addressed our queries well. We didn't any trouble. We all are satisfied with the service.

Room was really nice, comfortable beds, relatively newly renovated. Especially loved the extra large bath/shower. It was, however, exceedingly hot outside which made it difficult to sleep. A fan was provided but it was too noisy to use during the night.

All was going okay initially, although there is confusion on checking into the place. We were stood outside of an empty reception area, in the carpark for half an hour. The following day, I had to go home, due to a family crisis. I told the reception staff that we would have to check out immediately because my husband had been given hours to live. I was very upset when they didn’t ask my situation, and charged my friend and I the Total amount for three nights, and added any sundries. Over £300 for a one night stay! It left me very upset, and I will never forget it. I then had to drive home very distressed.

Great location, friendly accommodating staff, hotel clean.. Good value for money.

The Hotel is in poor condition and the room is small. Also, I do strongly recommend to not book room number 256 has it is located in front of the main roads with a lot of traffic and cars noises that make you not to sleep. Believe me, the noise is loud and you can hear everything. The didn't provide any compensation or goodwill gesture. Unfriendly receptionist

Nice hotel. Close to town. Close to sea side. It's not amazingly fancy. Could do with a lick of paint and maybe some veggie options for breakfast but other than that it's a really good hotel.
