Charming jewel of a hotel!
The staff was more than friendly and very helpful. The room was perfect. Small room, as expected since the hotel was built in 1929 but perfect size. We didn't stay there to entertain in our room. Hotel is beautiful and charming. The restaurant was phenomenal! Our food and drinks were amazing! We had concerns about sanitization and mask wearing but everyone was very attentive to CDC guidelines. The wait staff all wore masks at all times. The parking was very well lit indoor garage, very safe and convenient. We will definitely stay here next time we travel to the area.

Okay overnight stay
It's a historical older hotel so the rooms and bathrooms are old and small. The pictures on the website make the bathroom appear to have been updated but they aren't. We inquired at the front desk and the lady said the website is misleading that only the presidential suite has the updated modern bathroom. Front desk staff was not friendly. Restaurant wasn't open due to Covid. It was clean enough for an overnight stay; bed was comfy. there is an overall odor throughout the hotel probably because it's older.

ice stay, but could be better
This was our second stay. We were there 6 years ago. The hotel is a beautiful old property. Along with the charm come the drawbacks of old places, namely small rooms and tiny bathrooms. The elevator is small also, and that is understandable, but it is rather "banged up". The worst thing was the (2) luggage carts that were somewhat flimsy and thus ricketty. Other hotels have more substantial carts that are easier to use and manipulate. Overall a very satisfactory stay, but not quite luxurious.

The hotel itself was beautiful! The room was clean and cozy. The restaurant needs help though! The food was excellent but the bar was sad. The people behind the bar were having to take orders and deliver food as well as clean tables. They were out of several top shelf items, no silver tequila, no ginger ale, no top shelf gin, no strawberry flavoring, etc. The guy that waited on us did not know how to make a Long Island Iced Tea. He told us he wouldn’t charge us for it but it still ended up on the bill. The bar itself needs an actual bartender and fully stocked bar, especially for a Saturday night!
