Everything was great but Paiute needs TLC.
basic cleanliness and comfort, especially given the current covid environment. service is okay with some of the staff and better with others. i did not end up taking the pick up breakfast offered, though the coffee was good. i opted to have breakfast made in my own room. i think the staff did the best they could.
Traveling during this time is not easy and staying places a challenge. I found the staff to be mid range as far as hospitality. I think we are all feeling the struggles of this year. but still you are providing a service to individuals and that comes through how you interact and convey information. I had to visit front desk myself to pick up new batteries for fireplace switch. and then noticed another day that the section of couch was moved away from wall. and not put back. The WiFi was located begind it and I did not request any issues with it. Front desk did not have any information that someone entered my room. only that they may have been checking wifi on the floor. with no prior notice of entry. This was a bit disturbing during this time when other services have been cancelled to limit room access. only wish I was notified ahead of time. i still ended up wiping down everything myself again. just to be safe.
I like the location i have stayed there before the staff was great. But this time i had several issues I had to be moved to three different rooms because things where missising, not cleaned in one and the second the tv was broken,the last room was great.
The receptionist was really busy. I asked for an extra pillow. Also, there wasn’t enough towels in the room and the soap dispenser in the shower wasn’t working. I would recommend to stay to someone else we’re just not in that room. The whole should’ve been a little bit more accommodating to her guests, Because staying at the Marriott is pretty pricey and all guest should be accommodated.
Very disappointed in this hotel to be honest, I absolutely loved the layout and spacious room, but it was very outdated and the rugs were hideous...but it’s even more gross to think that hotels have rugs especially during times like this I wish they would just strip them out everywhere. The bed was so uncomfortable after sleeping on it after a few nights it started to dip in the middle you could feel a metal pole and me and my boyfriend stayed 6 nights. Staff were not welcoming it was an awkward quiet and very minimal of words. When I first arrived to check in, I got my room key and as I went up to the room by myself I opened the door to find an older man sitting on the couch in the dark. I was scared I immediately went back downstairs and it was maintenance in the room doing work touching everything that was just sanitized and disinfected...he had on no mask and was just lounging. So upset because I purposely waited hours after the check in time so that I would be guaranteed that no one would be in the room as I wanted it to be sanitized and left alone as a precaution to covid. When I got switched to my new room I was disappointed to have no fireplace as my reservation said I did, and the first room had one, but the woman at the front desk told me I didn’t have that in my booking and would have to pay more. The sheets to the bed had other people’s hair, stains and crumbs in it. The outside bathroom Light was broken and only half of it lit, the water smelled like chlorine
We (a couple) stayed here for two weeks during COVID, although we were not required to self-quarantine. The room was quiet, the bed was super comfy, and I liked the kitchen - it was equipped with everything (good sized fridge, two-burner stove, dishwasher, disposal, and cookware) except an oven. Nice living area and tv, too. Coin-op laundry facilities on 2nd floor. Unfortunately the pool and jacuzzi were closed due to COVID, and the breakfast was only a small bag of wrapped items and an orange. I think the normally hot breakfast and pool facilities would have been great, but we understood. The area is within short driving distance of some good restaurants and grocery/other shopping.
these days with COVID 19 around that travel and hotels are not the same. Services have totally changed negatively. For free breakfast it was a bag of a cooky, bagel and 2 small pcs of butter and a 250 ml of water, sometimes a very tiny orange will be added to it. For 20 days all the bags were the same. The WiFi was very very bad and we couldn't connect to the service for days. Towels will not be changed except weekly or if you went to the front reception desk and took it personally along with the toilet papers and a box of tissues. Garbage bags were put daily in the corridor outside the rooms to be collected by hotel service. Soap and other toiletries are collected in the same way like toiles. Cleanliness was average due to the fact that cleaning service was at its lowest level due to the pandemic as I was answered when I asked about it. Though the hotel was recently renovated and new building was added to it but some of the rooms need minor TLC's which was due the negligence of the travellers who do not behave responsibly. The front reception desk were of great help specially Nadia and Janna. Before our departure I got charged for about 60 $ for WiFi usage which I in fact didn't ask for or use, but after raising the issue to the manager he courteously corrected it. All in all our stay was good like usual and we accepted the fact that it was COVID travel ira and all is different now.
The room/suite is spacious and well appointed. Alicia, on the front desk when we arrived 9/10 was very helpful in my getting malfunctioning WIFI to work. BUT the dispensers in the shower were empty;there was only decaf coffee for the carafe;the fan blew cold air all the time;there was no charging station for phone and kindle.
It was amazing cleaniness. Quiet I enjoy my stay
