Babbling Brook Inn

Enjoyed the Waterwheel and waterfalls running and the Redwoods. Rooms were clean, private and enjoyed the little balcony to enjoy the outdoors. Weather was great. Disappointed that the gardens had not been kept up because of the Virus. Hope that they will get restored in the future.

Infested with silverfish,spiders,slugs, a moth flew out of the pillow case and there were millipedes in the room! Shower did not work Didn’t stay the night .. I would like a full refund

Not exactly as the pictures. Has no mini fridge and very small rooms. I was better off in a regular Marriott hotel where it was first way cheaper and had more and was spacious.

Very romantic

Worst experience I have ever had. Left alone as the only guests the manager went home and left us with her cell number. Staying in a single story room. We start hearing very loud footsteps and noises in the attic. This went on for hours. Texted manager repeatedly she never responded. Police were there twice. They could not get access to even help. They called the manager as well she didn’t answer. This was a nightmare that went on literally all night. The police left for the second time at 4:15am. The next morning when I try to explain the night we’ve had and how upset I am to the manager she gives me the “you didn’t call me”. Basically went round and round trying to get a refund, I didn’t even get an “I’m sorry for your terrible night”. The whole situation was handled so terribly wrong. The room was dirty, smelled like mold, and we killed 6 spiders, but that’s a whole other issue. WORST HOTEL AND MANAGER YOU WILL EVER EXPERIENCE

The place is too out dated to charge as much as they do! No AC

The fireplace didn’t work which meant the heater didn’t work. The manager was non responsive about the fireplace and her voicemail was full. The couple below us was fighting until 3am and was smoking in their room. The fighting kept waking myself and my wife up because they were shouting and slamming doors. The smoke from below kept coming into our room. I was very disappointed in how the property is ran and don’t intend to return. I will not recommend this location to anyone.

We loved Babbling Brook Inn! A very rustic setting among nature in the middle of town with the sounds of the babbling brook to lull us to sleep. We loved the classic architecture and the decor. Excellent service and delicious full breakfast! A classic bed & breakfast experience! Highly recommended and we will return!

Perfect location for visiting UCSC as well as getting around Santa Cruz. Charming and cozy rooms, great staff, love the complimentary cookies and wine, the breakfast... there are so few hotels these days that you actually look forward to staying in, but this one makes travel feel like a vacation.
