Let me start by stating that if you are expecting the Ritz Carlton or the Bellagio you need to keep looking. If you are looking for a pleasant place to stay at an affordable price you just hit the target. Being right on the water starts the visit! Wayne the owner takes it from there not just checking us in but offering to carry our stuff and actually walking us to the room. He even made a point of giving us a choice of a room with full cable or just local channels. Had a full sized fridge and stove as well as a microwave - was more like a studio apartment. We were going to the Sun Beer Festival at Mohegan so this was a good place to crash (not in a car as we took an Uber!). This is an older hotel and shows it's age a bit (I couldn't figure how to make the shower work!) but it's a work in progress and worth the price of admission. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Thanks Wayne -keep working on it!

I was planning on arriving well after the check in time, so I called and spoke with the guy in the office to alert him and verify it was ok. He was very friendly. Told me to call once we got in town. No problem. The problem I had was with the room. Upon checking in, the guy walked us to our 2nd floor room. Inside, was a plug in massage chair, which was odd for a motel, and a couple other dated furnishings, a semi-clean kitchen and the bed. The bed was the 1st issue. We pulled back the sheets to find long black hairs, pubes, dust and what appeared to be dead/smushed bugs. I went down to the office and asked for a new set of sheets. The guy grabbed them, then offered me a new room on the 1st floor. I asked to see the room first; this room seemed more updated with 2 beds. I quickly pulled back the sheets on one bed, and it was clean, so we took it. After we settled, we checked the 2nd bed to see which we'd prefer to use. Same issue with the sheets. But at least 1 bed was usable. Next issue, was the shower. The water never heated, so it was a cold shower for me, and then grabbing a towel, I found long black hairs folded in them. When we returned from our day out, there was a walmart bag of "clean" towels hanging on our outside door. Also strange. Overall, the guy on site was friendly, the motel was very dated and the cleanliness was beyond lackluster.

Wayne the owner was very good. But the place needs attention. Cabinets lamination falling off, couch dirty. Window open without screen on the ocean, needed fly swatter. Nice to have stove, full size fridge, microwave. But a lot of Fruit flies. Food left in bowls. The hot water must come from the middle of the earth, takes forever to get here but when it does look out! Nice end unit over looking the harbour, but the neighbor hood is pretty run down.

Wayne was friendly and amazing. The room was clean. Would recommend as a no frills place.

Staff was wonderful. Room was fine, had no issues with noise from the other rooms. Bathroom was semi icky - especially the ceiling - but the water pressure was amazing. The dock was peaceful and I enjoyed watching all the ships come in. Nice to have considering Groton was kind of run down and there was nowhere worth walking to. Considered it worth the cost.

The mgr was awesome! The room very clean but a bit musty. The bed was a bit worn but still comfortable. Water in the shower was only lukewarm. Great location. I would go back.

We absolutely loved it !!! Amazing place with great views. Very cozy and comfortable! Service is amazing and the manager is the best!!!
