SANA Rex Hotel

Standard hotel. A bit oldfashioned but a rich and excellent breakfast.

Good comfortable hotel. Excellent breakfast buffet, but the choices for snack meals in the bar in the evening were limited. Room was clean and comfortable, but there were no tea and coffee making facilities in the room or the common area, only via the bar or room service. This would be a welcome addition. Staff very helpful and all with a good level of spoken English.

Rooms and especially bathroom are very small. Quality more like a 2 star hotel. Area good and next to the Ritz and Intercontinental but a little away from the center.

Awesome

The hotel was away from the historical centre, but had good transport links including buses and the metro. It was close to the hop-on-hop-off buses at the place where you could swap from one line to another. Opposite the hotel there was a park and the covered greenhouse which was worth a visit. The buffet breakfast offered a good range of food and drink and was in what looked to be an old part of the hotel - possibly an old building which was there previously. The AC in my room worked very well, the outside temperature during my stay was 42C. There was a fridge in the room and a good bathroom with a bath though no plug (I carry a universal one). The room was cleaned every day. There was a bar, but I didn't use it. The hotel staff were helpful, I often asked for suggestions on where to go in Lisbon and how to get there. There were cafes and restaurants nearby and El Corte Ingles was within walking distance.
