Sonesta ES Suites San Diego - Sorrento Mesa

Our stay was perfect. They allowed an early check-in. The grounds were decorated with holiday spirit, and the room couldn't have been better.

I liked that the room had a kitchenette and full size refrigerator. Two bathrooms and plenty of sleep options for my family of six. What I didn’t like is that the sofa and chair were flat and dingy. The walls in the bathroom were dirty and there was a heavy smell of deodorizer. They claimed the room was sanitized but you can visibly see the walls are dirty it’s hard to believe it was truly clean. One of the beds was very hard, like sleeping on a board. I had issues with the breakfast service. The lady who assisted with breakfast service was unfriendly and rude. She was clearly confused on what I was requesting and was unapologetic about it. When she clearly was the person confused. The front desk staff was also unapologetic about it. I paid a lot for a Sunday night to stay in a dingy suite. I wouldn’t stay here again. I wish I had drove two hours home.

The spaciousness of the room and the cleanliness of the facility were great. There were a couple of Covid related inconveniences, but nothing unbearable.

The pictures posted do not show the reality of this hotel. This place needs a major upgrade on everything! I booked the 2 bedroom suite. Our room wasn’t clean, I found shampoo residue in the shower, hair in the sink, the table didn’t look wiped down and overall the living room furniture looked grimy and outdated. I wasn’t comfortable sitting on the couches. The beds were not very comfortable although at least our sheets were clean. The hot breakfast was okay but they need better branded juices and milks, you can tell it’s dollar store merch. The hallways and elevators were very outdated (walls and ceiling look old) and lighting was creepy. The walls and doors are very thin, I could hear everything in everyone’s rooms from the hallway. It was a one night stay- I didn’t bother changing rooms because it was late when we got there. I was disappointed with this hotel because I’ve stayed at a Staybridge before in Carlsbad and that one was fantastic. My family and I won’t be staying here again.

The hotel is older, but in good condition. The room was clean, but furniture could be updated as it was worn. The bed was VERY firm and uncomfortable. The breakfast to go was good, but some healthier options would be nice. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The fitness room was open which was a nice bonus.

Great staff and hotel did an amazing job making everything sanitary and safe. Front desk check girl was very outgoing and was very helpful, in the morning there was a employee that was serving breakfast and was very outgoing and personable. Entire stay was great.

I had a late check in . An hour late on their part because the room was not ready but other than that the room was very nice and spacious. It was a really quiet stay , me and my family enjoyed ourselves
