ibis Hotel Köln Centrum

Brilliant location, not too central so very little noise, apart from the last night where the hotel had guests that were very noisy, but no fault of the hotel itself.

Hotel in good location, rooms clean and functional. Only problem we had was when we wanted to use the printer for our flight boarding passes and a previous guest had frozen the software, stopping us from printing directly from the guest computers. I went to the staff at reception and he just gave a look of defence and shrugged his shoulders at me. I then explained the problem further and he gave us the option of emailing him the documents which he could print off, which he then did. Although he provided a solution, the attitude I felt could have been less indignant.

I didn't get much sleep on my first night. There was rattling noises throughout the night. I should have complained but was rushed for time. The breakfast and decent shower (bathroom was a bit small though) was good enough to make me stay another night.

The room is recently renovated, everything is very new. It is tidy but very clean. I have got a room on the top floor which has very nice view of Cologne!!

Great clean hotel with helpful cheery staff & plenty going on around hotel even if the centre is a bit of a walk away.
