Fairmont Waterfront

Chick in was very good and Kat ( receptionist) was very friendly and made our day.

It was a grwat stay...so great that we stayed another night!

Upon arrival the lady at the front desk was extremely welcoming and very helpful. She answered all my questions and everything was clear and understood. Throughout my week stay there was a few minor complications with the elevators but the staff was right on top of it to help me in no time. My room was clean and had everything I needed. All the staff was incredibly helpful and kind. I had stayed here once before I believe in a queen sized bed room a few years ago and don’t recall it being AS nice and luxurious as this time around. Both times I had a city view but this room I’m particular was fantastic. It exceeded my expectations! 10/10 would recommended anyone to stay here.

Amazing experience at Fairmont Waterfront! We got the chance to be upgraded in a room with the harbour view! What a beauty at dawn and dusk ! We would definitely come back =)

Our room was dirty upon check in - hair all over the bathroom, dusty, just not what we were expecting at all. The hotel is older - and I thought it would've been renovated better than it was for the price point. The doors didn't fit the frames, and the entry doors had a gap letting light and noise through. You heard every conversation, and every other guest coming and going as the doors slammed behind them. We received a parking ticket (and parking was costly - make sure you're booking a hotel with parking included) at over $150 for our stay. The hotel took care of it but again, this wasn't the experience we were looking forward to at all. In my booking request, I asked for a room on a higher floor. I also emailed them a few hours prior to check in once I realized parking wasn't free to see if we could switch our package from Expedia directly to them as a resident of B.C, their offer included free parking. They suggested it we could book the offer, without disclosing it would be MORE to do it that way. Finally they said it would be cheaper to just stick with Expedia after I asked if the pricing would be the same. Yikes. In that email, again I asked for a room on a higher floor. That too, was ignored until check in. The service woman was excellent, easy to deal with and quick. Our second room? It didn't have hair everywhere, but the shower was moldy, as was the shower fan and there was no duvet cover - just two flat sheets encasing it. Not worth it, especially during Covid-19

This hotel is lovely. The staff is wonderful, so helpful and kind. Current COVID measures are great, although it would be better if people signing up for a time at the pool would actually leave at the end of their time as it did get busy poolside. The rooms are a little dated, but clean. Very simple bathrooms. We really enjoyed our staycation

Amazing view, but the room was bit dusty and noisy.

The property is clean and nice, and the service is great. However, with the cost per night it was surprising that there isn't a movie channel and if we wanted to watch a movie on demand they charged $24.99! Also, our room was located across from the cleaning supplies room so beginning at 6:30am the door was opening and shutting all morning, and it was very disruptive. Hence, this is why I gave 4 out of 5 stars instead of 5/5.
