Sonesta Simply Suites Jacksonville

The service was great however, our room did smell a little and there was hair in the shower.

It's just recently been taken over by Sonesta, it will be interesting to see what improvements they make, it is a little tired looking, but not bad for an extended stay. After starting her multiple times this summer it was nice to come back. The place isn't fancy but more like your favorite comfy house slippers. The on site laundry was much appreciated and we do love the ability to cook and not have to go out to eat all the time. The bed was comfortable and unfortunately the pillows wouldn't fit in my luggage, they were perfect.

Clean and quiet location. Parking lot was a little small but hotel was easy to relax in.

Loved the studio type suite. Each room is designed to have full kitchen, bath and bedroom area. Very nice. The front desk staff was very accommodating. Very close to Mayo Clinic makes the location excellent.

This place was awesome it felt like home . I would stay here again.

The bed was hard as a rock the floors where dirty they need to be cleaned with a carpet cleaner and the room also had a smell that clung to our clothes the one upside is the crib that they was able to provide for the baby

They were low on cleaners, so had to wait to check in, and when they did check me in they informed me that Hotel.com did separate bookings for my days, causing me to have to come back the next morning and re-check back in. They put us on the pet floor (which YES they allow pets, something I did not know) and were kept up by dogs barking. The staff cleaning in the morning was very loud since apparently it was “carpet cleaning days.” The floor boards in the kitchen was falling out and the place is overall pretty run down, but not the worst place I’ve stayed in Jacksonville by far.

Everything was fine location safety was not an issue

Hi id like to bring something to your attention! Me and my family are very disappointed in smell of our rooms after driving over four hours! Both of my rooms had an odor ” I do mean STRONG scent of URINE, MILDEW” SOUR MOP, AND DIRTY CARPET! My girlfriend immediately noticed it as we entered and headed down the hallway then once walking into our rooms she found the source being shes an owner of her very own cleaning company! The smell was horrendous and my mom brought it to the attention of the front desk staff who said no other suites are available at this time but a standard room was and upon seeing that one” it was even worse and had a dirty chair with a torn arm! So we just stuck to the rooms we had and sprayed our Lysol and other sanitizing sprays we brought with us just to stomach it as it would be hard to find anything else labor day weekend! I'm upset because I spent countless time sifting thru reviews to find a clean hotel in Jacksonville and chose this one by far of like hotels and more expensive ones as this one seem to stand out but I am totally disappointed and see I made a bad choice! I feel that someone’s attention to this matter is warranted being i personally spoke to the manager Joy prior to coming and stressed to her please ensure we have clean rooms with no smell of smoke or issues! We had issues as'well with room keys' having them reset twice before working, even one luggage cart we used had a flat tire! ROOMS HERE ARE JUST OK BUT NEEDS CLEANING!
