Banff Caribou Lodge and Spa

I liked the underground parking, inside the room the bed was super uncomfortable, the toilet didn’t flush and the hair conditioner dispenser pump was broke. They fixed the toilet that same day and tried to fix the conditioner pump but it never worked properly. (The only time we never take ours from home of course). Lots of choice in Banff I don’t think it’ll be this one next time.

Love the Caribou! Have stayed here a few times over the years. Cozy, comfortable accommodations with friendly staff. The Keg is always great and goes above and beyond with their food service!

Room was clean and quiet and quite comfortable.

The linens smelled burnt, there were mysterious black hairs on top of the duvet cover and under a pillow. Small rooms but nice decor. We booked there specifically for the hot tub but couldn’t even book a time until check in (4pm who’s is much later than most) so all sports were booked by then

Great spot for my weekend away. Staff didn't mention this, but you need to book a hot tub time window,we missed out because we didn't know that unfortunately

Stayed Friday to Sunday. Overall good. They don’t do house keeping everyday because of covid so I didn’t have conditioner to wash my hair on last day and it’s in a container, not a tube so you don’t know how much is left.... my hubby called front desk.... told them I’m in the middle of my shower and 1/2 hr later they still didn’t bring me conditioner, I got out .... called again and I assume they forgot, although they said they told house keeping :( Anyhow, I was a little annoyed with that and also they have underground parking but the Keg restaurant is in hotel so there was no parking and neither on the side streets... the girl at front desk was a bit rude and told me to go park at Dorothy hotel and said it’s not that far of a walk... so that was crappy, good thing it wasn’t too cold. But the other front end desk guy was really nice. So overall good stay. Ironically the shampoo and conditioner (Rocky mountain soap Co) is really good, I went to store in Banff and bought some :) ... they did end up bringing me conditioner... but it was a different brand 😂 , so anyhow check before you shower that there is enough in the containers :)

The stay was great. The room could of been cleaner when we arrived. Other then that we loved it

Hotel was welcoming, very clean and staff were friendly. Room was nice and cozy. Found information/communication was lacking - checkout, rules around bookings for hot tub, no information booklet in hotel room to browse thru. Few details of room lacking - door difficult to deadbolt, shampoo/soap dispensers not full, mirror in bathroom difficult to use for a women trying to apply makeup - can't get close enough to mirror and not enough light.

Duvets were stained and lumpy..
