Homewood Suites by Hilton Mobile Airport-University Area

The hotel room itself has all the amenities that you need with a cute little kitchen and cooking area. Their gym only included 2 treadmills, 1 elliptical and a small area to use weights. The staff is very sweet. Breakfast was simple: some sort of eggs, grits and some sort of meal. The area is a little more remote off of the main highway. It is close by and urgent care and the hospital. The problem with my stay was the bugs and the ventilation system. I stayed in a nonsmoking room but somehow my bathroom constantly smelled like cigarettes. After telling the staff about the bugs in the bed and the sofa couch, they were extremely accommodating and found me another room. Unfortunately, in that newer room not only smelled like bleach but I was locked out of my own bathroom. The inside handle self locked on the inside without an ability to unlock it on the outside. Probably all sorts of bad luck. I do believe that the hotel needs some serious renovating

Front desk service was great on check in but things went downhill from there. Room was not clean. Stained carpet, walls, furniture. There was a roach in the bathroom.

Hotel room looks so old. There is a lot of cockroachesin the kithen area.

Room was not as pictured at all...it had a smell, the bedding and couch was dirty and stained, the furniture was tattered. When we asked for a new room they said they were full which was alarming due to the Covid virus and that they didn’t decrease the occupancy. So they brought us new bedding that had cigarette burns. While they did not implement the lower occupancy due to the virus they did implement not coming in and cleaning the rooms as well as the offering for breakfast was cold cereal in a bag. It seemed that they picked the option to make the money on occupancy but not make the hotel guests feel taken care of. We needed to extend our Stay one night and they charged us more that one night than any of the other nights even after knowing we were not satisfied. We will never stay in this hotel again! AWFUL!!!

While this room was really accommodating to our needs, it was filthy. Patched doors, filthy, stained couch, slow draining tub, extra toilet paper rolls on the floor and not packaged. No housekeeping came. Disappointing.

When we arrived at the location they advised me the room i had booked had flooded and the air was not working. We had to settle for regular rooms

Two Bedroom Suite wasn't available when I arrived. Settled for a king suite. Room was half cleaned. The coach had stains on it. The floor still had small chips of paper on it. The dishes in the dishwasher were bot cleaned. There was no dishwashing soap or pads to clean the dishes.

We started out with a room where the air went out. There a for a tennis tournament so after roasting all day we were absolutely miserable in our room. The only solution was switch rooms of which there were none. The staff were friendly and worked hard but there seemed to be only one person working and the place was packed so it was hard to reach anyone. We had no remote control for the tv either and only two towels and never got housekeeping and they couldn’t find new towels? When our room was finally swapped it was obviously one that had a water leak. There was mold on the ceiling and around floor boards. The floor is the kitchen area had rotten spots was bowed up and cracked when walked on. We had friends staying with a similar experience. Also the pool was closed but the one at the Hampton (which you can see from you room) was open! We won’t be back :(

I never leave reviews, but I wouldn’t wish this hotel on my worst enemy. Do not spend your money here. Find somewhere else. When we checked in, the man at the counter was more worried about smoking out front with his friend, than actually helping us check in to the correct room. He was very rude, and gave no explanation about why we didn’t get the room we originally booked. The rooms themselves were very gross. They smelled terrible, even after spraying it down with Lysol as we were seriously concerned that any actual cleaning was done, especially not sufficient to meet these times we’re in. We have pictures of roaches on the wall, and stains on the sheets. We stayed because we were all very tired from driving all day long. Beware. Terrible attitudes, not clean or sanitary, and no social distancing or masks worn by any of the office staff.

No towels and limited house keeping. The staff was nice and friendly. No breakfast at this time. Due to COVID-19. I will give this location another try; at a later date.
