The Hog's Back Hotel & Spa Farnham

I have been here a few times before and its lovely and i am never dissapointed.

Room carpet is dirty. It has a bad smell. Breakfast was served late. The night manager is not adhering with the government's policies by allowing a group of women in the corridor talking without wearing masks. Service was poor. We can hear children laughing and slamming the doors. We were given a family room instead of double room so we are next to group of families who are very noisy. We didn't get any sleep. Our phone in the room is not working, so in case of emergency we cannot use it. No towels prepared. It wasn't welcoming at all.

Rooms were spacious, warm and clean. Cleaning staff did not wear masks.

A pleasant one night stay. Great staff, great service, great food & room.

Had to send a formal complaint to the hotel group customer services after a stay here: * Room not as advertised or described on hotels.com * Intoxicated guests running around at night * Fire alarms sounding and testing without notice * Not the cleanest of hotels - would often see plates and rubbish left out in the hallways going into the evening * Staff could not handle a complaint, and weren't interested Fobbed off after submitting a complaint and haven't heard back since. Wouldn't stay here again.

First off let me start by saying the staff are doing the best they can. Booked this hotel through hotels.com. Upgraded it to executive so I'm expecting something a bit plush. It also boasts a spa. So I'm thinking great me and the misses after breakfast can go spa relax then head home.... What actually happened Arrived and get told spa / gym / swimming pool is closed after 6:30 pm... Doesn't open till 8. Also only allowed 16 in the swimming pool. 45min slots. First come first serve. So I asked. Can I book a time... Nope 😕 So from their automated check in bot.. We go to the room. Well the room was like the cheap one I had in Amsterdam. You know the one. Bed against the wall. Just about enough room for a size zero to take a dump. Only plug sockets are 2 meters from a mirror. Oh and the plug sockets aren't next to the squished double bed... They're On The opposite wall. Then you take a look out the window to the supposed 'courtyard' view. Which was actually plant (mechanical) with a bit of green netting in front. Wouldn't have be so bad if they'd put some noise reduction in rather than hearing the hum... Ohhh And this I still can't get my head round. Paper cups for tea. And yet order room service and get glasses.. Breakfast service we were allowed real cups... Hmmm maybe it's because they can supervise us.... 😂😂😂 Anyway so after a night of. "darling I got climb over you" which really put the dampeners on the romantic get away. Looking at my floating balls on there way

This is a lovely location within easy reach of several attractions. Unfortunately the room allocated to us had no view - only the roof-top equipment and a noisy extractor running 24x7. Looking at the car park, the hotel was not full, so why offer guests such a bad room with views of roofs and air conditioner equipment. The room itself was large and very clean, just a shame about the view if you get the chance, refuse room 414! Generally, the hotel was doing everything possible to keep guests safe.

A pleasant stay: clean, comfortable and food was lovely. Lots of measures related to Covid-19, which made me feel safe. It was my 2nd stay and I’d go back.

It was too hot in the room, no extension chord provided for a fan!

Very poor. It was only £50 for the night but there were significant issues - broken aircon, broken light switches, no towel in the bathroom, pubic hair in the bath and no coffee. Would not stay there again.
