Bigger hotel with nice-sized rooms, but it seemed very little was changed in their process for COVID-19 restrictions. Breakfast was still self-serve, with some foods out in the open even (not individually wrapped). Seems to be a big hotel that was fairly nice, then got under different management.
The hotel is not bad. Some of the guest were kinda noisy. There seemed to be a good bit of deferred maintenance. Things like the metal around the stopper in the sink had rusted away, Carpets needed cleaning and general ware was evident. Breakfast was toast or cereal. The juice machine was out of order and no water to make tea. For the price, the place is not bad. There's nothing dangerous or unworkable but it not under priced.
Very rundown, needs a good cleaning, repair, caulk around tub, repainting. Staff was friendly, bed comfortable. Also no breakfast available.
Lovely place to stay. Excellent service. Wonderful bedrooms with perfect pillows. Very clean.
The hotel hosted a large party, the parking lot was extremely busy with car and walking traffic. The partygoers attempted to get into my vehicle setting the alarm a couple times. Room was nice, bed was nice, just never again on a Saturday night in Texarkana
The hotel smelled like sewer and light fixtures were missing covers. The carpet Was torn up.
Filthy hotel, damaged room, dingy, dirty throughout. mask-wearing not enforced.
Non smoking room slightly smelled like a smoking room
The only real negative was minimal towels. 2 sets only so when i needed to wash my hair i was trying to dry with a hand towel. I understood saving and being economical but that was ridiculous. I ended up sending my husband to a store to buy me another bath towel, also, the washcloths felt like sand paper so had him purchase a couple of those too.
This hotel was such a disappointment. The hotel is so run down and shabby I was honestly in shock. There were so many items that needed attention it would take the whole paragraph to list them. From the light flickering over the receptionist to the lights being out in the elevator it only got worse. The door of the first room I was given was peeling and rusted. The beds in the room were a mismatch of king and queen, and the queen was two mattresses stacked on each other so it was very swayback. The lamp was completely rusted and then I found the bed tag that was nothing but a mold bomb. I asked for a new room at that point. It took four tries with the button to get the elevator to stop on my floor. They did move me immediately to a new room which was marginally better though the I was looking at the inner wall of the bathroom because there was no latch plate for the door to hook into. Beds were definitely not luxury anything but I needed sleep at that point. The continental breakfast was as run down and sad as the hotel. Every serving dish was broken and your offerings were yogurt, muffin, bagel, English muffin, two cereals and coffee. I will not be staying here again. I should have done my diligence and read some reviews hopefully like this one.
