I would never stay here again. The hotel looked nice from the outside. We drove down the street a few blocks and there was crime scene tape everywhere. We come back to our hotel and around 1 am someone was trying to get into our room, luckily it was locked. The phone rings around 1:30 am so we answer and the person hangs up. Someone called four more times up until 5 am. We contacted the front desk to switch rooms. They said they couldn't because we booked with hotels.com. They told us it was okay they were just trying to get ahold of someone who stayed there before us most likely. She proceeded to say the cops are out front every 20-30 minutes which says enough in itself. We kept checking out the window and never saw a cop there. The bathroom was extremely dirty and they only gave us one roll of toilet paper. We had to go downstairs to get more. The tv picture kept going in and out. The carpet was filthy and there were stains on the wall.
The lady that checked us in didnt tell us anything. Ive never been to a hotel that doesnt try to make you feel like they were happy you chose their hotel out of all the other choices i had. She handed me 2 keycards and that was it. Didnt even tell me where my room was, when was breakfast, or anything. The whole second floor stunk of marijuana. Starting at 4 am people were stomping through the halls and slamming doors. We left at 730 and there still wasnt any kind of breakfast out. When i booked the room it said complimentary hot breakfast. I didnt even see muffins and cereal. The toilet has not been scrubbed in awhile there was a water ring around the inside of bowl.
The hotels appearance and over-all cleanliness was great for the price. We didn't have much of a view because it is located off the main road and our room faced another hotel. The staff was friendly, before we even entered our room my husband asked the housekeeping staff for extra pillows and she stopped right away and got them for him. We were on the first floor right by the elevator but once you dozed off you couldn't even hear it. I recommend this hotel and would stay there again.
Nice and quiet. Pleasant staff. Overall a nice place to get a good nights sleep.
Clean hotel, furniture old, very basic ok for the money. Check in lady was talking to someone on her earbuds while checking me in, just gave me the keys and told me nothing else. Not the service Im used to
It's decent. Tub had some paint peeling, not dirt. Limited amenties due to COVID19. Area seems sketchy since abandoned hotel across street. Some concern as "someone" knocked out window of hotel van.
The stay was just OK. Room was old furniture and sheets had permanent stains. Staff was inexperienced but friendly.
Well I hate to say that my experience was not the best. Got there and found out I couldn’t get the room I booked I didn’t make a big deal out of it because I had been traveling and was too tired to fight that battle. Ok, get to my room & discover the internet TV did not work, so I called to the front desk and asked to be moved to another room and the receptionist told me that others have been calling about issues with their TV so moving me wouldn’t be of any help! Ok I was tired and just went to sleep. To top it alllllll off when I woke up the next morning to warm my food from the night before the microwave did not work. Called to the front desk to try to get a late checkout and was told that may not be possible because I booked through Expedia. I always book through Expedia and have never been told that before. All in all I will NEVER stay there again.
Didn’t receive the rooms I paid for for starters. Purchased 2 rooms both with king size beds and received 2 rooms with dual queen beds. The rooms were dirty, stuff broken, stunk like wet musk in the room, refrigerator leaked water everywhere if it was on, AC barely worked at all, huge patches in the ceiling that were flaking off and the entire hotel smelt like marijuana.
Check in service was uninformative. I was given the room key and my credit card back with out any words exchanged. No directions to my room, no info on internet, no directions to ice machines or explanation that there would be NO breakfast despite the reservation stating that breakfast was included in my price. The only benefit, though more scary then beneficial was when I ordered door dash, the driver came directly to my door with the food on all three occasions. I travel a good bit and found this a little unnerving. In this part of Memphis any stranger can wander into this hotel and loiter around without the staff’s concern. Most reputable hotels do not allow deliveries directly to guests room for obvious security reasons. However rest assured if you stay here your door dasher (and everyone else) can easily access your room. The room itself was extremely moist. The towels did not even feel completely dry after I got out of the shower. There were no coffee accessories to accompany the coffee pot in my room. And I could hear every door close and person pass down the hall from my bed. Finally the topping on my sundae was the only plug in the room that did not have 5 plugs going into it was not operational. I had to unplug the coffee pot ( that couldn’t be used anyway without coffee) to be able to charge my electronics or work on my laptop. I truly expected more from a Marriott. There has to be a better option.
