Sea World Resort

Disappointed with boatshed restaurant closing so early despite all the good promotion. Walked in 10 minutes before closing. Staff looked at us and didn’t bother advising that it’s closing soon. That would have prompted us to order straight away. Was told the kitchen is shut when we went to order just a few minutes after 8.

We paid a lot to stay (average $460 AUD per night). For that we were very underwhelmed. While our room (a ‘deluxe double’) had been updated, it was small, no minibar (or even a bottles of water) there was no fan in the bathroom. There were vending machines but the ones near our rooms were out of order. A lot of the resort was tired, in particular, the pool area where we spent most of our time, was directly from 1997, needed painting and maintenance. There is nowhere to hang wet clothes or towels (which is clearly lacking as all rooms have bathers and towels drying on chairs outside their doors). It was still fun for the kids but needs an update desperately. The service was generally courteous (except bell staff do not wait for guests at lifts) and friendly but very slow and usually incorrect/something missing. For example, there was usually something missing from our room service order (eg. cutlery or a drink or sauces) AND it finishes at 11pm. On two occasions we asked for our room to be made up early (as our baby needed to nap in the afternoon) and on both occasions they said they would, but did not and interrupted the baby’s nap on both occasions. Most of the restaurants do not open at lunch and you are forever eating chips. Also, brace yourself for face tattooed locals and their unruly offspring...

It’s was alright just slow in check in and out and the worst off all was 1 night there’s was no parking at all we have to parked out on the street, we travel with 2 family with different room and can’t find a parking spot. They should allocate a parking spot per room.

Great place for families. We stayed for two nights over the Christmas period and loved it. The lobby is nice, Concierge and staff were helpful and friendly and the rooms were modern, comfortable and clean. We stayed in one of the refurbished deluxe rooms on the ground floor with a garden outlook. The water park was great fun and good for children of all ages. We tried the Japanese restaurant for dinner and had a lovely Christmas lunch at shoreline. Could not fault either dining experience. Santa visited the Christmas lunch and gave every child a gift, it really made the day exciting for them! Would definitely recommend this resort for families and especially the deals with the theme parks included as it pays for itself. We visited movie world in the morning and seaworld in the afternoon. The downsides: can hear everything in the neighboring rooms and also there were constant upselling emails directly from the resort in the weeks leading up to the stay.

We thought that we had booked a seaworld room with entry to Seaworld. The way your description worked, it gave an impression that entry was included. It mentioned things like you can collect the tickets from the concierge and gives you 2 days entry and so easy to enter. We were made to pay for entry tickets in the hotel. To avoid confusion, you should state clearly under the rate in bold black letters whether the entry is included or not and not in some fine print in one of the tabs hidden. Very disappointed. This is the second time we've booked with you. Our last booking, we got charged im US dollars. I think we'll stick to booking.com although I am aware that they both belong to the same company.

Very kids friendly resort. Will visit again next time

We always enjoy our stay here, mostly because of the convenient entry into seaworld and that we don't have to drive anywhere. We have stayed in rooms on the upper levels overlooking the waterpark which also has lovely views of the water/ boats. This time we were on the ground level and although it was convenient to walk out to the pool etc, it wasn't as private as the upper levels. We also try to bring our own food as dining on site is quite expensive however just note the fridges are tiny (half the size of a bar fridge). The gardens are beautifully maintained, loved the Christmas lights in the trees

Unfortunately feels very dated. Fridge in the room no matter what setting was lucky to be cool to say the least. Pool side was enjoyable for the kids, but with half resturants barely open, and no monorail, minimal services working (not much noted when we booked just find out upon arrival) understandable to covid things are different but felt like we got half what was promised...

Staff were amazing, was allocated newly completed room - very clean and modern, only issue was that renovation quality check was not done - we had nails or carpet staples poking from carpet that was a health hazard (my son got scratches on legs and feet, we had to put towels on floor to ensure that it was safe for the kids) Otherwise all amenities, pools were fantastic
