Comfort Inn Hyde Park

I was extremely disappointed with this hotel. I stayed 6 nights March 2020. At the time of my stay during the Corona Virus situation, the room was a good price and the hotel was 1/3 full. The hotel is a 3 - 4 minute walk from Queensway tube station. The WiFi was good. However, that is the end of the positives. It is badly in need of a renovation (the renovation should have been done 15 years ago). It is plainly run down. The walls are paper thin and you can hear every word of a conversation in the next room. You can hear the water / sewage running down the pipes from the guest rooms above. The rooms are very small - not uncommon for a west London hotel though. Not all, but 2 of the reception desk staff were 'indifferent' to my questions. They made me feel as though I was an inconvenience.The elevator was super slow and scary. And on the day of my check out, the lift stopped between floors and just started bouncing up and down. I rang the emergency bell and when the lift opened on the 2nd floor, I was lectured by the receptionist that I'd pushed too many buttons (I hadn't, I had only pushed the ground button) and it was made to seem like my fault. I travel monthly and I'd give this hotel the worst rating in my memory. I absolutely do NOT recommend this hotel. It rates a 2/10. Do not stay here. Ignore at your own peril. Pay a little more and get a decent hotel. Comfort Inns should be ashamed of themselves.

Arrived at hotel, given a room on 3rd floor but the lift was out of order so lots of stairs to climb, room was very small and basic. Shower cubicle in bathroom was grubby and dirty. Breakfast, even though it was complimentary you still expect to be able to sit down and have a cup of coffee, but with only 4 tables for the hotel you had no chance, wasn’t even any clean cups to get a coffee, no croissants left, so box of cereal or a piece of toast standing up was the best you could have. Not good definitely wouldn’t recommend.

Quiet street and good comfortable bed and shower powerful. For the money was excellent value

Hotel was in easily accessible location and a good value for money. For a place to crash for a night or two, it’s great, safe and the staff were more than happy to assist.

For us this hotel was spot on. Across the road from Hyde Park, and very close to the tube. We had room 1, ground floor next to reception. Saying that it was very quiet, small but I knew that with the choice of room I booked. I would say ideal for a one or two night break where you're just using it as a base. It was warm clean and secure with tea making facilities.

We were in a ground floor room next to lift. Aware of it working at times but we were tired and slept well. Nice room, shame about the view.

Good location, comfortable stay. Some noise from train line but not disturbing sleep. Simple breakfast, no hot food but good enough to start of the day

The stay was fine. Case of in late, tired out, slept well in very comfy bed with for us brill pillows. Minor hiccup shower had a mind of it's own AM and held back on hot water. Other than that all fine. Would book again.
