Shilo Inn Hotel & Suites - Portland/Beaverton

Shillo Inn was great. Nuce clean room, front desk was very friendly and helpful. Housekeeping was excellent. Room was very clean. Bed was amazing. We will be staying again. They are remodeling but we never heard anything.

Staff was generally quite friendly, the room was clean but spare on amenities; there was no iron or blow dryer and the TV was very small.

The room was very dated and definitely in need of maintenance. It was clean and the bed comfortable. However, possibly because I had my dog with me. my room was located in a far corner, adjacent to the faculty laundry room, and a room with a family with small children, so there was a lot of early morning noise. I’d also say it was not exactly the “Garden View” I thought I paid for. Also, due to covid and a whole facility renovation, no amenities were available. I’d probably give it another go once the renovation is done. But not before that.

The place is being renovated. It will look great when it is finished. Our room was missing items, but the front desk was quick to solve and furnish the missing items. With COVID restrictions, the facility was cautious and we got bagged breakfasts that had plenty of food in them. No hot meal.

Staff was great. Check in was easy. Room was clean but basic. Not the most comfortable bed in the world but not bad.

Hotel is under renovation, however, it doesn't reek of paint and the work done is very nice. It was a surprise when I walked in the lobby as the front desk was pretty much a fold out table with the plastic shield that is required decor now-a-days. The employees seemed standoffish at first, but warmed up fairly quickly. It's a stressful time, and working in customer service can be a thankless job in the best of times. The mature woman checking me out in the a.m. went out of her way to provide me coffee, and a to-go breakfast, and the man who checked me in gave me a room overlooking the pond, as I requested when making the reservation. After checking in, and taking a seat on the balcony overlooking the pond, I realized I had stayed at this hotel some 20 yrs ago while attending a wedding. I would stay again, hopefully sooner than 20 yrs!

It smelled horrible as soon as you walked in , the beds were hard , pillows small, it was thin walled so you heard everything, the phone in the room didn’t work so any questions you had you had to walk up to the office which was very far away, and the room key wee not working correctly, I will never stay again it was one of my worse nights sleep in a long time

Hotel is being remodeled, smells heavily of paint/ chemical fumes. Lighting from hallway eliminates hotel room making it bright and hard to sleep. Overall, wouldn’t recommend.

It was easy to get checked into my room loved the water futon outside the door beautiful
