Hyatt Place Greenville/Haywood

The staff is friendly, welcoming and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean.

I was kinda disappointed with this hotel. All the furnishings were worn out or had cigarette burns on it. The pictures make it look nicer then it actually is. The towels and sheets were clean, bed was okay. One plus is the breakfast had been the best in this Covid crap. It was decent enough, but nothing hot. The morning attendants were a lot more chill and welcoming then who checked us in. Fine enough.

The staff was very nice keisha was super helpful. but the first room we were put in was not cleaned there was stains all over the floor the bedding was dirty the bathroom door handle was broken the towels were dirty. The closet door was broken. Just not good at all. The second room the next day was better there was a few minor things like the toilet was off set and the closet door didnt close right but the room was a great size for my family of 5. The breakfast was just a grab and go thing and the toaster wasnt even set up but it was good muffins, cereal, yogurt and a few other things. The big downside was alot of the outlets werent working and they had no microwaves in the room so even if you got stuff from the breakfast you couldnt heat it up in your room. There was a fridge which helped having 3 thirsty kids. Over all a nice place for a good price. But had a couple issues.

We checked in very late the night we arrived. There was a three hour time difference as we were traveling from the west coast to the east coast for the holidays. We checked in at midnight on a Monday. At 8:30 the next morning were woke up to power tools being used in the room next door. I called the front desk and she was. It aware of any construction but would call her maintainer man. Turns out they were drilling into concrete in the room next to me and we were told they would be done soon. An hour later they finished. Because it was so late when we Che’s in I did not notice the condition of the room. Large dark stains all over the carpet. The plastic shower curtain had mold in it. The shower did not drain so in between showers between my family and I we had to wait 20 minutes for it to drain. The couch was also dirty. I will say that they did have comfort beds although I was a little skeptical of how clean they were. The hotel staff overall was pretty rude with a few individuals that did respond with a hello if you said it first. Overall I would of packed up and found another hotel but we had family staying at the same hotel that could not do the same. Very dissatisfied.

I like this hotel. I like the brand. This is also an excellent location for the greater Greenville area. However, I thought it was normally noted when a hotel was under renovations on hotels.com. The staff were all great. Check-in was fine. It was after 8pm, and there seemed to be a lot of folks checking in around the same time. 1 of the 2 elevators was not available (I'm assuming for renovation use) so waiting, especially in the covid era of 2 people restriction, was a little annoying. Luckily, we stayed on the 2nd floor and were able to stick with the stairs mostly. Our floor was under a lot of renovation. The room was comfortable, acceptably clean, and fairly quiet (despite being right over top of the housekeeping laundry room...rumble, rumble, rumble)

It was hit or miss trying to find staff to help at the desk, day time was significantly friendlier and more helpful during the day than they were in the evenings. Evening/night staff was very rude and mostly MIA. Only one elevator was working (which was very slow and inconvenient since we were on the sixth floor with two kids), the TV in our room was glitchy and lost signal consistently and the room wasn’t very clean. If we were staying more than 2 nights I would have definitely gone somewhere else.

The hotel was under renovations, one of the elevators opened half way then had to force it open with your hand. Our room was clean except for the trash not taken out from previous people being in the room. We asked for clean towels and they were put in our room while out. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.

I like this location a lot. The facilities used to be nicer, but it still seems clean. Staff is generally great here.
