Courtyard by Marriott New Bern

Great, comfortable stay. Person at the front desks was very accommodating. After traveling for 12 hours straight, I needed a quiet room so I could get to sleep early. On the second try, he found me a perfect room. Slept great, and had a fantastic work day.

Everyone was so nice. The facility was so pretty and relaxing. It’s in a good location in the downtown area

Beautiful view from my 3rd floor overlooking pool and water. Loved the gazebo on the water Room was great. Mattress super comfy..would stay again.

Clean building and room, friendly helpful staff, great location with an easy walk to all New Bern has to offer. I'd definitely stay there again.

We really enjoyed the stay. The pool was great, and the hotel is conveniently located to everything downtown.

The overall experience was good, although our room had a strange odor that took some time to get nose blind too and also had a large indent in the wall (looked almost like someone punched the wall). The balcony had LARGE spiderwebs that were occupied by LARGE spiders and there was a large 2' hole in the ceiling area of the balcony from rotten wood. They did credit us $50 for the issues, as the hotel was full and no other rooms were available. The room was clean, no issues there. Beautiful views and absolutely gorgeous area around hotel. The bar area is highly recommended. Great service and nice conversation with the barkeeps.

I booked my room in May. I was placed on the first floor near the laundry room. The smell was terrible! What I thought was a water view was met with water view with a pool in the way. Room itself was clean but definitely not what I “thought” I booked.

The location is superb. We loved our stay. Although we weren’t able to use the pool due to our schedule it looked amazing and being right on the water made for gorgeous views. Hotel is walkable to so many great spots. If you like seafood must go by MJ’s

At the time of checkin the front desk greeted me with a “What’s Up Bud?” Duck poop all around the pool and pool water was dirty. $27 for 2 drinks at the bar that was poorly mixed. Room was next to the elevator and we heard everyone that passed by. Not all all a good experience.

Upon arrival we were NOT given a room with balcony access and a view of the water, which is what was advertised and what we thought we were paying nearly $200 a night for, but instead a window with a view of the parking lot. We brought this to the attention of the front desk clerk who informed us that, "yea...sometimes that happens when you use a third party site." We informed him that the same thing was advertised on their personal site but no further attention was given, and it was shrugged off with an attitude of "you get what you get." Pair that with a toilet that ran all night, a pool that needed cleaning, and several staff members that were less than friendly and I would suggest that you save your money and stay elsewhere.
