Quality Inn East Haven - New Haven

The "non-smoking" rooms reeked of smoke and made it very difficult to breathe. The conditions of the rooms were very poor. It's also very noisy. The people at the desk were nice. It's not their fault.

Gross. No evidence of cleanliness effort during Covid pandemic, including people in the check-in area chanting with masks around their necks and no distancing. Room smells of smoke, carpet has cigarette burns and feels wet, gnats, people loitering, smoking and yellright outside my door night and day (this is really a motel as rooms are almost all outside), more people drinking in unlit parking area at night, smoke detector is covered with a shower cap, spiders, AC filter has not been cleaned in a long time, furniture is stained, wallpaper is stapled on, etc. Glad I brought alcohol wipes. Slept with a chair in front of the door. For closed to $100 a night, it's not even worth $20. Only upside is the gentleman at check-in was very nice.

Front desk attendant was very helpful and nice. Had to ask for a room inside as sketchy people hanging around outside. Police driving through parking lot. New room was huge improvement except I did have to go buy bug spray at 10pm as I could not take the fruit flies. Bed was comfy. Do not recommend.think maybe water damage covered up by kilz.

The staff was ok the other guests were loud most of the night.

Location is good next to the highway, the only problem look like the owner had a contract with New Haven Housing and some of those resident are loud with no consideration parking lot and hallways during night look crow.

It looked more like a motel. Horrible

i was able to be moved into another room with no problem after finding out it smelled like cigarettes. It was doable for my one night stay.

The room we were in had 4 small flies on the coffee making area and there was another bug on the shower curtain. This was discovered less than 5 minutes after we checked in. The room was on the first floor, you could clearly hear people talking and cars starting. The parking was arranged illogically and you would have to back into it. The wi-fi did not work, I had to drive out to use the internet. It was a big hassle because I don't know the area. The breakfast was reasonable considering the current situation. The front desk area was nice and clean but the room was far less appealing. We could smell urine in part of the stay.

Very quiet no hassle I will happily book again only thing is the pool needs to be opened in the summer that’ll be awesome

Not secure. The room had a terrible odor I had to go out and get an air freshener the AC did not work properly but the front desk people are very very professional to me
