Holiday Inn Rome Aurelia

The hotel was old and in desperate need of renovation. There was bad water damage to the bathroom and the electric sockets were coming away from the walls.

The shuttle bus to the metro station is a plus. Elevators are tiny but ok.

Dated hotel, prefer nicer beds rather than two single beds pushed together to make a double and us falling in the middle...no air con! Mattress were very worn and also were the pillows. Telephone doesn’t work either. Breakfast was also expensive for what is available. The location is out in the sticks and was dangerous to walk to get a public transport.

The room given to us no air condition. Elevator csn only accommodate two people per trip and food selection is terrible. No smoking area, everybody smokes everywhere. I will not recommend the hotel to people i know.

The staff was very helpful, but rooms were outdated and need sprucing up.

Good hotel but difficult to reach on foot from the train station.

Amenities and proximity to the airport.. Elevator size is somewhat small for travelers with multiple luggages.

This location is too far to walk to the busy Rome attractions, which I both liked and disliked. It’s absence from all the bustling tourist spots makes getting around a problem unless you master trains and busses with some walking. However, the peacefulness of the establishment makes the atmosphere, particularly around the pool, pleasant and relaxing. The staff is over the top at helping with problems or needs. I would warn others if expecting laundry to be taken from the room to be certain they advise the front desk before 9 am on the day of pickup. It is obviously an older hotel but given the courtesy of the staff, the cleanliness of the hotel. and the exquisite service of the dining staff, all of which were more important to me, my stay here was a total joy.
