La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham San Diego Mission Bay

Location is just a bit difficult...if you mss your left turn coming off I5 south....you need to find a place to turn around on a very busy street. The room was very clean with plenty of towels. We slept well. The only disappointment was no breakfast, but not the hotels fault as no hotel serves anything any more.

Great stay! Hotel very clean and beds were comfortable. Free on site parking is a plus in San Diego.

We enjoyed our stay at LaQuinta in Mission Bay. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and quiet. The location was close enough to shopping and the bay, where we went walking.

The room was clean and nice, but the air conditioning system is old. Without the AC, the room was stuffy; with the AC on, it was blowing cold air and we had to open the windows and then it was very noisy. I didn't sleep well neither of the nights I stayed there.

The room was very clean. The beds and pillows were very..... Firm.

The staff were pleasant and very cooperative. The place was clean.

Location was pretty good though the area around the hotel was a little sketchy. The furniture in our room was dinged and worn, but the bathroom and room were clean.

Check in was smooth and shields and masks were worn but my good experience ended there. I was VERY disappointed to see the rest of the housekeeping staff and none of them had masks on! Even while I was trying to unload my car they would have the nerve to stand and wait for the elevator, walk up and down the hall - clean the rooms - NOT WEARING A MASK INDOORS! I didn't want to complain but after seeing this on day two I was astounded at their complete disregard for the lives of the tenants of their hotel. Please don't list this expansive list of COVID precautions and have your entire staff running around without masks - not even around their neck to pull up when in the company of others. Many of the tenants were walking through hallways without them as well. (The location is awful - bunch of guys partying and drinking beer on the street outside my window-must be a party spot.) Decent rooms but the lack of regard to COVID turned me off. Fridge had a ringing sound, so I had to disconnect it.

My finacee and I wanted somewhere "cheaper" to spend a night before heading to our airbnb and we regret staying at La Quinta. We are not picky people and I have never left a review before but it was necessary this time. The man that checked us in made us feel like we were a hassle. We asked about using the lobby to work for a couple hours the next day and the possibility of them holding our bags while we waited for our check in the next day and he rudely answered no to both (we couldn't use the lobby to work the next day?? What??) We got to our room and pretty much went to bed right away. The pillows were hard and lumpy, and the tv had one channel. The coffee caddy had enough supplies for one cup of coffee and the toiletireies conditioner was used. They gave us a very nice late check out (1pm!) when we got ack down to the lobby there were others using the couches/chairs/ computers so we did too. I got up and asked if there was a restroom on the lobby level and the gal told me it was only for guests. i told her we had just checked out and she told me she would go check. No one ever came back to either deny or show me the restrooms. In the hour that we were sitting in the lobby we heard the phone ring numerous times and no one would answer it as well as guests waiting at the front desk for service and no one around. A couple times we heard guests shouting "HELLO?! Is anyone here to help me? I've been waiting!" And still no one came. Overall, save yourself and dont stay here.
