Morro Bay Sandpiper Inn

Good budget place to stay while in Morro Bay. Fairly close to waterline\tourist area and restaurants\shops. Wireless Internet access worked well and fast enough for video streaming. Staff friendly\cordial. A bit old\dilapidated, but works well for a short stay.

Cute, retro hotel on Main St. in Morro Bay. Nice neighborhood. Dog friendly hotel, much appreciated! Pleasant, responsive and helpful proprietor. Rooms are on the smaller side consistent with the period in which they were constructed. All the typical amenities were included. The only thing lacking for us was a lot of outlets to plug in and charge devices which is also consistent with older construction. Neighbors heavy footsteps could be heard above us so luckily they retired reasonably early. Would definitely go back if I need a place to stay in Morro Bay.

It was smoky on our first day, from all the fires. Air was clean next day and from my font door. i could see the ocean, the rock, the spit, and the bay. Great food, everything close by. It was sure a great stay. It always is.

Looks like the inn had great upgrades with comfy bed, pretty comforters, and soft towels. Service friendly including Maria our wonderful housekeeping personnel. Thanks for making our family time so pleasant! We will be back for more fun memories at Moro Bay.:)

Good location, walls are a bit thin but overall we were happy with our stay

They put us in the corner room with the only window behind the big headboard of the bed. Felt like we were in a basement. It was their “handicapped accessible “ room, with a roll in shower, which we didn’t need or want. Also, it was a queen size bed. Was very disappointed they couldn’t put us in anywhere else but this room

The property is cute and i enjoyed our room for the most part. Unfortunately i found a bunch of hair in the bath tub which made me question the cleanliness of the rest of the room. Eveything else seemed perfectly fine and the bed was comfortable. I also liked that they provide vegan and cruelty free soaps and shampoos.

If you have a pet they will charge you upon arrival 30$. When we arrived our room door was wide open already which was concerning. I assume she was the house keeper just walked in without knocking. The bed was hard and the room was small. The location fits the price, nice view depending on the location of the unit but not to far from the main room. If you're looking for a romantic get away this is not for you. If you are looking for a cheap place to crash for the night that's in Morro Bay this is for you. Anymore than a night you may need Tylenol for your back.
