The Dixie Hollywood

El personal del hotel siempre muy amable y dispuesto ayudar con una excelente actitud. El problema es la localización del hotel. En general Los Angeles y Hollywood ya están muy sucios las calles y el ruido de los otros huéspedes llega hacer incómoda la estancia.

I stayed at this propeety several times over the last 2 weeks as I was having to move from my apartment due to serious harrasrment from other tenants. I chose the Dixie for it being good value and accepting my cat. On the 2nd night of my stay I realized my problem neighbors vhad followed me and were in rooms either side, managementment ibligingly allowed me ro move to another room. However they continued to follow on 2 subsequent moves. I have now moved completely from my apartment and have been vack at the Dixie for 2 nights and again the offenders checked in above and next to me. I asked to move and the request was refused and with no regard for my safety after an earlier request to call the police was on deaf ears.

The rooms it’s olds and smells so bad the towels from hotels isn’t white looking old and the air conditioning don’t work 😕😒😏

The stay was good as always. A lot of diverse people from different backgrounds, ethnicities, and walks of life, etc. Visiting guests aren’t respectful of sleeping guests, so loud music from a room, a parking car, or guests smoking in the designated areas along the balcony walkway is something one has to block out with a deaf ear. Fights, domestic arguments, alcohol/substance related spurts are common and usually squashed by the front desk staff, rarely requiring police aid. The staff are nice. They do what they’re hired to do; unfortunately they’re job description isn’t always liked or respected by the guests catching their heat. There’s lots of parking, or ample parking, until the night rolls in & more cars begin to arrive with late checkins. Checkout is @ 11, & late checkout is upon request, at which that time the front desk staff begins knocking on doors. The facility has one top-load washer & front facing dryer. They’re old, use quarters, & show signs of past vandalism. There are no soap vending machines or bill changers, but the front desk will give quarters if available. There’s a little store in the lobby area called the General Store and has the basic hotel necessities and other needed knick-knacks for a decent night’s stay. A soda machine is outside offering Pepsi, Aquafina, orange Crush, & Mountain Dew for $2.00 (exact change). Has an attachment to receive ATM cards but it doesn’t work. Also, at any given time the machine may be empty.

The room was nice, big, clean & comfortable. However, the neighborhood was very sketchy, dirty & full of homeless people. Not safe or great for walking around. And, I had very loud neighbors in the room next door to me parting 24/7 making it difficult to relax and sleep. Service at the front desk was very kind & friendly.

Rude staff very annoying not accommodating your needs as a customer

The Dixie MOTEL not hotel, is a cheap option on Hollywood Blvd. The rooms were somewhat clean, the television worked, and I didn’t get bedbugs so in that aspect it was nice. At night the unsecured parking lot becomes an extension of The Blvd, and homeless ( house less angelenos) come in and mingle with the guests and their things. At end of the stay I was missing my license plate from my car and there was no camera footage to help me out, or free breakfast. Sometimes sleeping in your car is a better option.

very loud partying guests kept me up most of the night despite me complaining to the front desk. No coffee pot in the room to help me get going in the morning either. They claimed it was because of Covid-19. What? don't you wash it between guests? other hotels have them in their rooms. Just seems lazy
