Ohio University Inn & Conference Center

A short visit in Athens area. This property served our needs. Did not explore the property at all but our room was clean and comfortable. Only drawback was the shower did not have enough water flow/pressure. Room key(card) drop off box was an easy way to check out with no contact.

Very nice place to stay. Very clean. Comfortable bed. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll stay here.

The beds and pillows were super comfy. There was a small coffee pot and coffee in the room which is nice. We had cocktails in the cozy little pub, prices were reasonable, and service by Sydney was great. We ordered from the appetizer and sandwich menu. Food was freshly prepared and yummy. Check was easy and clerk was friendly. The pool and patio with outdoor fireplace was neat and clean. The location was convenient to the university and local businesses. This was our first time here. We would stay here again.

Loved it but 2 things I would’ve liked- at the check in if the very nice and helpful young lady would’ve given me information about breakfast - because I had no idea what to do for our free breakfast, and yes I should’ve asked, we just left without it anyway -but also if she could’ve told us there were heavier drapes behind the sheers. And yes- I know, we should’ve noticed them but we didn’t and it is our fault but it was so light in our room all night because of the lights from the beautiful, awesome courtyard it was kind of hard for me to sleep. But overall it was a very nice experience! Would go again! The two problems were really my own fault.

Love this property especially the outdoor dining area. Very lovely. Dinner was exceptional and the service was fantastic. The only complaint I have is their shower. UGH! They're using the lowest flow showerhead and that model barely delivered enough water to even wash my hair. It's this type of shower experience that led me to invent my product, Epiphany! DFO. You can use it with a better performing showerhead and get the performance you expect and more savings than just using a low-flow showerhead alone.

I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the room, especially as the town was experiencing a high number of COVID cases with the return of students to the university. The shower had mildew and hard water stains at the bottom edges, especially at the corners. The shower and sink had a mildewy smell.There was an open and partially used box of Kleenex on the bathroom counter. There was an open and partially used bottle of lotion on the bathroom shelf. There were spider webs and spiders in the corners of the window.

Great location, comfortable beds, nice shower, and beautiful outdoor area to relax at in the evening. The staff was very friendly and everyone took appropriate COVID precautions. It was too cold for the pool to be open, but it appeared to be a great set up in the summer. We would return.
