Residence Inn by Marriott La Mirada

My stay out of all reasons of why we stayed at this hotel happens to be the worst reason considering the consequences, so yeah this stay was for my little sons bday to have cake and sing happy bday with a few family members being me and my husband, my two sisters and their little boy and girl. Early in the day I called to speak to a representative of residence in considering my check in because me or my husband didn’t have an ID present in person only on our tablet considering just recently on a family vacation we lost both of our IDs so our new IDs are now being Mailed to usI then went on to hotels.com account and make sure that we change the reservations to be put into my sisters name everything was said that was about 11:20 in the afternoon later that night around 647 because I win the stuff down I went to go check in I wasn’t able to make it there on time so my sister went to check me and since she was the one doing the reservations I didn’t get a call that she’s not able to get into the room or get the keys cause a representative was being very rude did not want to help and make no sense because again the reservations was already in my sisters name me and myHusband they were at the grocery store trying to rush and get the food for my son’s birthday had to then leave the grocery store to go to the residence Inn and try to resolve the issue but he was not having it we called hotels about three times and the representative on your end told us that the reservations are in my

Our room was very clean and was very comfortable. The shower was awesome and the maid service was 💯 great. The front desk personnel were very friendly and helpful. We are booked there tomorrow for the weekend.

Ive always stayed at Residence inn chains. This location is the worst stay I’ve had. Room smelled, room wasn’t properly cleaned (Hairs in shower, left over food from previous guests, bugs, restroom toiletries (mini shampoo/conditioner bottles) were NOT new with hair. Horrible experience. You would think the room would be clean in especially during COVID.

My fiancé hurt herself on the bed because it was broken when we first got there

The property was under renovation, if I was aware of this I would have chose to stay elsewhere.

Started off in a room that smelled like smoke. The staff was incredibly apologetic and kind and moved us immediately with no problem. However, the next room smelled the same. Upon entering we also noticed both Tv’s were on. The sofa had a shoe print on it and the artwork had some kind of cream smeared all over it. I believe they rent long term because all night the guest upstairs was moving boxes in and rearranging furniture. The remote was missing from the tv in the bedroom and the one in the living room had the cable plug unplugged. This was no big deal until it was time to sleep and none of the buttons would power off the tv. We had to call the office and they immediately sent a security guard over with a new remote. When we got in to the room the following day the TVs were on again so they must automatically turn on? The design overall was uncomfortable-refrigerator doors and shower doors improperly hung...toilet paper rolls mounted crooked. It was a bit shocking as we have stayed with the Residence brand many times and never encountered their hotels in this condition. I believe they were working on much needed renovations at the time of our visit and no noise was hear due to this. They did do a great job of working during hours hat wouldn’t be bothersome to guests. Got little to no sleep though with the constant in and out of other guests and the noise upstairs though. I stepped on an industrial staple on the floor. Hadn’t been vacuumed.

Great experience at a very clean and family friendly property

Its very inconvenient to stay the farthest Away from the office especially when the keys wont work. The little piece of ground underneath the stairs Where the cluster of doors are has debris and litter. Outside our window are heavy duty machineries. It is disconcerting to arrive in the dark evening and the surroundings outside your doorstep is a mess. We were happy to leave.
