Check the Size of the Room.
Whilst the hotel was adequate I have stayed in better Hotel Indigo’s. Our original room was extremely tiny and the wardrobe door was hanging off. Thankfully I’m an IHG platinum club member and the very helpful staff were able to move us to a much bigger and better room for our 2nd night. Whilst we didn’t eat at the hotel the bar area was nice and comfortable, especially given the COVID measures that were in place. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Fantastic hotel! Excellent location with a gorgeous view of the castle. Hotel kindly upgraded us as we were celebrating our 10 year anniversary which was very kind of them. Room was lovely and spacious. Would definitely stay here again.

The staff were lovely The breakfast was nice But the elevator was broken And the TV wouldn’t connect- the WiFi was good so it wasn’t a big deal

Arrived at hotel at 3 but room not ready which was disappointing. To be fair we were given a complimentary drink at the bar. As we had a booking at 4pm we went back to reception at 3:40 but room still not ready. Receptionist was very apologetic and said our luggage would be moved to our room when ready. On our return this had been done and we received another complimentary drink which was a nice touch. Rooms are big and the complimentary snacks and drinks in the mini bar were welcome. Very big bathroom with lovely shower however the flour did not look as if it had been cleaned. Nice breakfast the next day although my wife had poached eggs on toast and only got one piece of toast which seemed a bit stingy. Overall a nice stay and despite a few wee issues would use this hotel again

The hotel upgraded us to a spacious Superior King bedded room with a beautiful shower room. All staff were a delight, very helpful, and the breakfast was the best we have had in a hotel in along long time. Cooked to order. The hotel is situated opposite the train station, nd we were able to leave our cases in the hotel and enjoy the hotel facilities until our afternoon train. We will defo be back next year. Thank you so much.

Little gem in the heart of Edinburgh!
Stayed here to celebrate a birthday and we really weren't disappointed. From the beginning to the end our stay was seamless and the hotel staff went that extra mile to make our time in Edinburgh very special, a real asset to your hotel! From the complimentary birthday chocolates, to the requested birthday balloon being in the bedroom upon arrival... A great stay. The hotel was extremely clean and we were fortunate enough to have a beautiful view of Edinburgh out of the window. The only downfall I would say is the bed wasn't majorly comfy and the tv could have been a bit closer to the bed. Parking was expensive but I suppose it is what you would expect for 48 hrs in Edinburgh. Everything else was flawless and brilliant value for money, we would certainly stay here again!!!
