Sam at the front desk was great. Remembered me from when I called in the week before my trip. Very friendly!

I enjoyed my stay. April, Bri, and Sam were so lovely.

Claridge House was clean, well decorated, but rooms were small. Bed was comfy. Water pressure in shower was not so great. staff was friendly. bar not open... :-(

Hotel was lovely! Just a few minor things normal to an older boutique hotel

Really nice staff, good prices for a weekend stay, actual accommodations left a little to be desired. Room was not in excellent shape; was not quite as “deluxe” as we would have anticipated from its description, however, the pros in value exceeded any cons, would stay there again in the future.

The rug had several dirt spots and the heat did not work properly.

Staff was quick to help check in even at 9pm at night. A person was walking around the lobby area cleaning a few times a day. Rooms were clean but could be polished up or dusted in a few of the hard to reach spots or random areas

No hot water in our first room. Moved to another room & it was okay but small.

I was staying at this hotel for 2 weeks and I have no big complaints. My biggest negative moment with the hotel was at check-in. A few days before my arrival I called to the hotel and made a few requests, and I was promised to be taken care. But what I finally got was completely opposite from what I wanted. I got a very small corner room on the 5th floor where me and my partner barely had any space. But next day after complaining I was moved to a different room, which met all my requests. Room #1207 was big enough to feel comfortable and had space for my cats to run and have fun. The King-Bed was super comfy! Wi-Fi there was working amazingly fast. The room was remodeled ordinarily and perfectly clean. I enjoyed my 2-weeks stay there. I had just a few small issues. First, a little bathroom with a super small toilet where I could barely sit down and do my “things”. Secondly, dirty windows which needed to be washed from the outside and finally the possibility to hear what’s going on in the next room if people are noisy there because there is an adjoining door between the rooms right next to the bed. I also did not really understand the Resort Fee which is $23 per night. The hotel is cute, but pretty standard, and all its facilities were closed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. I would like to mention the hotel’s location, which is great! Chicago Old Town area is my favorite area in the city. There are a lot of different businesses just one block from the hotel.
