Villa Florence San Francisco on Union Square

Great customer service at front desk,great location and very clean,i will stay again

The location of this hotel is perfect if you want to walk towards Ferry Building, Pier 39 etc. It,s only a block away from Union Square where you find the best shopping stores.

When I arrived I found out they charge 100 per night for incidentals in addition to resort fees per night. That essentially doubled the upfront cost. Its been a few days and still waiting for that money to be returned back to my account. Also, a stand up stall shower. NO thanks.

Love the location, price was right, room was clean. TV did not work and and we had plumbing problems.

Villa Florence was a great stay. I enjoyed the convenience of it and the great location It’s at. Very happy with Villa. Will be staying there again.

Spent the day in San Francisco to visit family. Just a block away from Union Square, Lots of shopping, points of interest, and great restaurants and bars.

Eclectic hotel. We enjoyed our stay. I tried to ask some advice from the concierge (about the street car) He had me take a seat and wait. 25 minutes later I asked the other staff if he was coming back. They replied "he has other responsibilities too". I was disappointed but we still had fun. I wish the lounge stayed open later but actually enjoyed the brewery around the corner much better. Their parking was $59 a night. That's too much! Despite my gribes, we still had a good time and I would stay there again if I am without a vehicle.

The hotel was nice but old and not aa clean as others i have stayed in. The area has a lot of shopponf and restaurants around but also haa a big homless population campong out on the streets around it. It gets kinda sketchy late at night.

Unfortunately, this hotel did not live up to its four star Expedia review for our stay. We arrived late Friday night and were surprised to find out we would be charged an additional $77 for our two night stay which included several random fees and a resort fee of $29 per night in addition to what we had already paid. The hotel offered very few amenities so we asked what the resort fee would cover. They gave us two bottles of water and told us one cup of coffee and one pastry was included per person. They would not have given us the water and told us about the coffee and pastry had we not specifically asked. We paid for a queen bed but the bed was no larger than a full (not a big deal in the scheme of things but not what we expected). The hallways of the floors with the rooms had a strong mold or old food smell that was unavoidable. Our room had several broken items including the safe, TV and desk. We could not close the curtains because the way the air conditioner was mounted in the window. Overall, the price of this hotel with the fees is comparable to much nicer hotels in the area that we would have considered had we known about the additional cost in advance of booking.

The phone in the room never worked after rested requests to correct. The heater and a/c unit was very noisy and turned on and off constantly.
