Draycott Hotel by Mantis

Staying at The Draycott is like visiting a friend's house. The charm of the hotel is also the problem with the hotel. The ambiance is Old World English and the furniture and general state of the property certainly reflects that. The curtains do not close properly, the bathrooms are a little on the small side. On the other hand the beds are perhaps the most comfortable you will ever find anywhere. The suite we stayed in had a very inviting working fireplace. The staff are the real deal...they go out of their way and then some to make you feel at home, and you do feel at home here. Perhaps a little TLC would do the property in general some good. It is now partly owned by The Group ACCOR so maybe changes are in the pipeline. Whatever ACCOR does I hope they will not spoil the Old World Charm and coziness that is Trademark of this wonderful hotel Thanks to all the staff and see you again soon!!!

Only one night's stay, but very impressed, will return.

Not a five star hotel. Expensive bed and breakfast. Do not rent their small rooms. These are not rooms, these are closets which every luxury property should understand as cheating if they rent them as actual accommodations. No coffee making in the room for free yet you can have expensive snacks from a moldy closet. Anything for a profit then. Air conditioner is literally in your lumpy tiny bed. No doorman, you actually have to buzz in. Really not a hotel, not a 5 star. Staff is nice, doesn’t help false advertising.

A charming hotel in a quiet neighborhood steps away from Sloane Square. Lovely sitting room looking onto the large Cadogan Gardens. Extremely professional and friendly staff.

Lovely room, large (especially by European standards) with a beautiful balcony overlooking agarden as shown in picture. Wonderfully attentive staff with 24 hour service (transferred to Gatwick at 3:00 AM)

Loved the staff and setting. It would have been useful to be made aware of the charges of certain things before accepting them, such as crisps and champagne refills. Other than that, the staff of this beautiful hotel helped make our wedding day memorable. Thank you!

The Draycott remains one of my favorite hotels in this London location. I love staying in Chelsea - it is away from the typical tourist hubbub and it is very conveniently located near the Sloane Square tube station. We have stayed here many times over the past 15 years and the staff is lovely. My only concern is the condition of the furnishings in the rooms are beginning to show a bit of wear.

It ticks every box! English charm with comfort and old world ambience.
