Golden Eagle Resort, Ascend Hotel Collection

Very cute resort!, clean and updated rooms. I wish we could have stayed longer and take advantage of all they had to offer, especially the fire pit.

After viewing the photos online I thought it would be a beautiful hotel... when we got there it felt more like a run down motel... The staff was pretty nice, the hot tub and Sauna were not working the pool was hazy and the floor around the pool was really dirty, the pool furniture is really old and dirty as well. Our room was very small and dated. The blankets were very lite which left us cold. The bathroom shower however was very nice. We did enjoy the outdoor amenities.

I have never been so disgusted with a reservation thru Orbitz. The Golden Eagle Resort is apparently past its prime and is promoting itself far beyond what you actually receive. Our unit had a derelict car sitting beside the entrance. There was itinerary on the toilet seat. The tub was clogged with hair. There was only a half roll of toilet tissue. Carpet old and dirty. Nothing has been painted in years. There was debris, sand and leaves , all over the entrance. The same with the patio. Here was no one in the lobby, our keys were in an envelope stuck to the wall. I realize Covid 19 has created special circumstances but that was rediculous. The lodge management apparently has no pride in the facility. Had it been cheap,that would be one thing. But it wasn’t. I have photos, if anyone wants evidence.

The hotel was filthy especially around the outdoor and indoor pools.

The room was nice. Wish there was two chairs instead of one ( and a table ). Due to COVID -19 the restaurant was closed, that was inconvenient but not Golden Eagle' s fault. More chairs outside the room would be nice too. All in all I would recommend to others as a place to stay.

Awful treatment. Racial bias and profiling, dirty room, room appliances not working, very loud air conditioning units, rude staff. Had to clean and disinfect entire room. Threats by person who refuse to identify themselves. I was in violation of loud Music however I agreed to turn it off. My fiancé was approached and asked who she was, who she was there with and if they were Hispanic girls, was talked to disrespectfully and when she asked who the woman was the woman proceeded to call other hotel guest over to continue the questioning. To be fair I was sitting on the back balcony listening to jazz music, however, because of the very loud air conditioning unit I turned the music up. The same woman and another large man came and asked if I could turn down the music, my fiance informed me that was the same woman (different man) that approached her in front of our car and room. We asked who she was again and she finally said she was one of the managers, we asked for ID and she told us she didn't have to provide us with and ID or her name. I told her I would turn the music off and she proceeded to threaten to call the police and again I said I would turn the music off. I would not recommend the establishment to anyone especially people of color. To add I asked for an upgrade at the start of our stay and they gave us a room with a cooking stove with two burners only one was operational, no microwave. Terrible

Not what we expected, first we had a room far from everything, I went to the front desk to ask for another room, I got one smaller than the one we reserved with a twin bed witch was ok, but my surprise was when took a look at my credit card I was overcharged, I sent three emails asking for a reason why, but I’ve got no answer

I have stayed here twice. would stay again no doubt. The 2nd time i notice little things. The spa is very outdated. My bath3oom could been cleaner. The nest serves a good breakfast for a day of skiing. 10-15 mins to the mtn. Great if you can get a deal.

Nice that they have an indoor pool, fitness area. Easy access to local restaurants, etc. Parking right outside our room wasn't available on a few occasions, and hot tub could have been cleaner.

good location, good housing. Much space for parking and nice rooms.
