Travelodge by Wyndham Virginia Beach Bay Beach

I love how the email about rating this place said "excellent or....?". I will go with the "or". Horrible. Best part was check in, and the check in person was not there because they were just getting off a shift at their other job (no problem with hard workers) so you had to call a phone number and wait. Then the reservation was there but they tried to charge me again. And, again, that was the best part. The room was a dump. It clearly had not been vacuumed. Bed was as hard as a rock. Parking was almost non existent. Bar on one side of the hotel was loud well into the night.

ROACHES!!! FILTHY TOILET! This is the nastiest room and the bathroom wasnt cleaned, empty toilet paper roll trash on floor. I had to throw away my toothbrush and toothpaste because a roach was crawling on it!

My room didnt have an ashtray, and the tv didnt work. I was moved to a newly renovated room that was much better. The hotel staff were very pleasant. I look forward to staying there again.

The owner obviously doesn’t care to spend any money to make the place more presentable. I don’t have enough room to list all the problems and couldn’t wait to leave

Great location and very friendly staff. Free parking and next door to restaurants, coffee shops, beach. Wyndham should invest more in upkeep of rooms, curtains are very worn. I wish I had brought my own blankets because the bedcovers were very thin.

Not a bad place, pretty clean on the surface, but my bed was full of body hair which made me think the sheets had not actually been washed. Not bad for bare bones travelers though.

Absolutely phenomenon at a great price considering location! Customer service is great plenty of restaurants to choose from in the area. Quite, and a 3 minute walk tobthe beach. I believe its been recently bought by a local family that's working hard on renovations and taking care of any issues that may have occurred before. I can't wait to return!!!

We ask the clerk to give us a Non smoking room # 222 but once we got into the room it smell like tale smoke from the air conditioner air blowing out . Too late for us to move anywhere else so we had to stick it out with the room for the night. We could NOT sleep thru the night because of the heavy tale smoke smell so we decided to check out early the second day and gave up on our 2rd day without refund. Beside smell of tale smoke , no ice maker on the premise, everything else are ok.

This location is great for bayside beach access. They are renovating the rooms

The hotel is just a short walk to the beach. That said, it is tired. The room was clean, but smelled musty. Really needs some updating.
