Red Roof Inn PLUS+ Washington DC - Oxon Hill 

When I arrived I got my keys they did not work went back to the desk got new keys after maintenance man looked and they were the following day the keys did not work again had to go back to the front desk to get new ones again at night both nights my neighbors in the hotel we’re very loud outside the room music was blasting did not sleep well both nights other than that the staff was great room was clean I wish they had minor to the outside to keep the noise down

It wasn’t the best

Usually this place is cool but this stay was nothing like the rest. Check in was not a good experience flat out. This older woman who usually checks us in was being rude to me when I was trying to get clarity on why my boyfriend couldnt check us in after I had left a note on the reservation saying he would be there before me and to allow him to go ahead and check in since we had already prepaid the room. When I mentioned to her that someone had read the note that I made on the reservation she would say in a rude tone "yeah I read the note too but he still cant check in". She never answered my questions. PLUS any other time I would do that SHE would check him in. And in the midst of her being rude, she checked us into an already occupied room which was a blower to us. After I went back and told her that there was a man already in the room with the door wide open, her attitude changed and she "upgraded" our room. This was our second bad experience at this hotel and its safe to say we wont be back.

I have been staying at the Oxen Hill Red Roof pretty frequently, the staff is always very courteous and willing to help at all hours of the day and night. The actual state of the rooms however leaves a lot to be desired. The room smelled of thick smoke, despite it being a 100% smoke free building. The bed was as firm as a rock, and the toilet only worked 2/3rds of the time. I even went out and bought febreeze to alleviate the smell, which sadly did not work. I put no fault on red roof for their lack of housekeeping during a pandemic, however more cleaning between guests would be welcome.

I enjoyed my stay at the Red Roof Inn Plus in Oxon Hill, MD. I have stayed at this hotel a number of times. It is conveniently located near the MGM Nat'l Harbor Casino and all the sites that I visited in the Wash. DC area during my visit. I had a little problem with the door lock in my first room. The battery had died and they couldn't replace it until the morning. However, they quickly moved me to another room for the night so it wasn't too inconvenient. They fixed it early in the morning and I was able to retrieve my belongings then.

Too much illegal activity going on the property. The amenities need to be updated and serviced. What I like about it is that I was near the harbor, stores and restaurants.

The wait was incredibly long for check in, room smelled like smoke even though non-smoking was requested, and the rooms need updating. I stayed for one night and it was just ok!

Worse hotel i ever stayed @ never again rather sleep in my car
